I don't know man. Either I don't care as much as I used to or less, but I'm hankering after one of these. I think with the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport gone the Top Speed thing just doesn't interest as much particularly as Hennessey etc are taking so long! Nevermind.

Dear Mr Pagani, please could you get in touch with Mr Rimac and explain how it's possible to not require the windscreen wiper to be positioned vertically on the windshield.

Just me guessing, but when it comes to wipers perhaps there are different aero requirements for the Pagani's top speed of 220 mph vs. the Tourbillion's near 280mph? That said, the Veyron and Chiron were able to do it. I'd imagine Piech would not stand for that if he were still alive and in charge.

Or as mentioned in the Bugatti thread, the inability to package the wiper arm at the base of the windshield?

Chiron Super Sport 300?
True, and there was probably more resources dedicated to make sure that was doable. I am not too knowledgeable about the details of how much VAG resources are available with RIMAC's 51% (or was it 50.1%) ownership of Bugatti, but attention may have been placed on other details and slightly more compromised work-arounds placed on others.

They could have easily done it this way on the Tourbillon, because the one on the Utopia is pretty much exactly the same but lying on its side.
But just as blatantly visible.

From this point of view, I think the straight up Tourbillon wiper is a design choice.

I think its intentionally designed vertically (or straight up) to continue the center line without any interruption from the rear deck, onto the roof and ending on the front hood.

In the videos with the Design Director he did mention they were inspired by the design of the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic with the center line (that was 2 halves that were riveted in the center of the car) running the entire length of the cars body.

I would argue that this is still an engineering cop-out.

IMO, visible wiper to the side still has a negative impact on the look of the car. Except, unlike with Tourbillon, here it doesn't pose a problem going at speeds of over 400 kph. So I forgive Bugatti.

As a gentleman who can appreciate a good wiping technique, I hope you like Praga Bohema's wiper setup. Two completely hidden arms and an insanely curved windshield. Discount Valkyrie without the stupid visible wiper in the middle :D

I believe during the walk though with Top Gear, Mate Rimac said he considered "programming" the wiper position on either side of the windscreen, but decided to leave it in the middle position, to continue the line that runs from the front to the rear of the car. So I will guess technically it is possible to change the position with a reprogram of the software?

I think it's an excuse. But let's leave it at that.
Again no.. if you see the video the dimensions requirement was strict, could not be longer that the Chiron. Add to that electric motors/ batteries and a V16, something had to give. This car is way more cab forward and if you look at the front aero, there are slats in the front wings just under the wind shield for air flow. The wiper would not have worked in the traditional position hidden under the hood.
