The Pagani Huayra, a successor to the Pagani Zonda, was initially revealed online in a press release on 25 January 2011. It was officially revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The car is named after the Quechua god of wind, Huayra-tata. The engine is a 6.0-litre twin-turbo M158 V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG producing 544 kW (740 PS; 730 hp) and 1,000 N⋅m (740 lb⋅ft) of torque. The Huayra's body is made from carbotanium; a lightweight composition of carbon fibre and titanium. The Huayra has been redesigned from the ground up, but shares many visual qualities with its predecessor. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 235 mph (378 km/h). Only 100 units of the Huayra were produced, each costing £1,000,000 (1.05 million US$) without options.

Its a craftsman's delight. Stunning car, but the wrong engine IMO. The power is right, but the sound is a mess.

PS
I find it funny that everyone hates on this car.. and very few have seen it in real life..out of those who have seen it in real life..most are left with their mouths open for weeks..to the point the flies fly in and lay eggs in their mouth..haha
But its understandable..its very hard to capture on picture.. but trust me..its a STUNNER!!!
That's one of best shots of the car. Perfect two tone colour configuration found. Love it!
Pagani Huayra supercar update and Zonda R picture gallery | evo
Pagani has just finished a world tour presenting its new Huayra model to potential customers, as well as displaying it at various prestigious events including Quail and Pebble Beach.
The unique Pagani Zonda R pictured here (finished in gloss carbon, rather than matt) picked up a gong at Quail by winning ‘Best in Class’ in the Supercar section, a feat these pictures celebrate.
It wasn’t all pain sailing for Pagani, though, as just before the Huayra reached America, a motoring website ran a story saying the Pagani Huayra would no longer be going on sale in the US. This was due to the company being refused a temporary exemption from the country’s advanced airbag requirements.
evo then received communication from the factory to refute this story, saying Pagani realised some time ago it wasn’t going to gain a temporary exemption from this rule and had therefore been working on having advanced airbag management available on the Huayra in all markets.
As things currently stand today, Pagani expects to start US deliveries of the Huayra in late 2012/early 2013, which is a delay of only six months or so compared to original plans. evo also understands the first UK customer Huayra will be arriving with its lucky owner in early 2012.
Huarya looking more and more "classically" lovely with every day. With the two tone paint scheme it cuts a sleeker, trimmer line than the single tone gold car. However, in spite of early misgivings regarding the looks being banished, I still harbour concerns about the driving experience - not the performance - particularly around the potential for all that turbo whistle and transmission whine to become rapidly wearisome.
