Love it!
Looks like a E-class should and I'd have mine with the Three Pointed Star on-top of the hood.

Compact turning circle with rear axle steering

The new E-Class is optionally available with the technology package. It includes the fully supporting AIRMATIC air suspension with continuously adjustable damping ADS+ and the rear-axle steering. The AIRMATIC with air bags and adaptive ADS+ dampers responds very sensitively. The new E-Class with the optional rear-axle steering is particularly agile and stable at the same time. The steering angle on the rear axle is 4.5 degrees. This reduces the turning circle by up to 90 centimetres. In the E-Class models with 4MATIC, the turning circle is 11.1 instead of 12.0 meters; in the versions with rear-wheel drive, it is reduced from 11.6 to 10.8 meters. Unbeatable in class.

Planned for the future: driverless parking and exiting

With the optional preparation for the INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT, the E-Class is prepared for Automated Valet Parking (SAE Level 4). With the parking package with remote parking functions (optional) and the Mercedes me connect service INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT (depending on country), the new E-Class has the technology on board for fully automated and driverless parking and exiting. The prerequisite is that national laws allow automated valet parking, multi-storey car parks are equipped with the necessary infrastructure and the corresponding Mercedes me connect service for the E-Class is available and booked.

The weight of the plug-in hybrid models is very high. 2265kg for the E300e 4matic and E400e 4matic is more than an S500 4matic.

Here is a comparison in weight and performance with W213 models:

Since the battery of the phev models is twice the size of its predecessor, the weight difference is high.

I dig the funkiness of the minty green color, but how many are going to be courageous enough to spec it in that color?

Doug DeMuro, perhaps?
the cars in his stable are somewhat, yes, quirky, but the paint color on most if not all of them are fairly pedestrian. Then again, he does tend to choose colors that are shown on debuting press cars. 🤷‍♂️

But considering it comes equipped with its own selfie-cam, I am sure some Youtuber/influencer type will spec it.

All that said, I am glad they are offering something more adventurous.

Hopefully many. I'm sick and tired of all grey cars.

That can't be a Norwegian parking lot, because where are the BEV chargers? Are they invisible as well?

Colossal improvement imho, though one can argue the FL w213 was the worst looking E class in comparison …. ever ?

Damn, the W213 pre-facelift still looks good! Especially in that Kallite color!

Okay! Ive not looked at the car in 18 hours, and Im a bit more honest.

Black elements on the front facia is fine, as long as its not white. Personally, I like it, but it has a place.

Lose the embedded stars in the taillights. Its tacky. Revert to a Stardust linear look perhaps.

Still a winner from the side. Lose the multispoke rims for something sportier.

Avantgarde is underwhelming. AMG a must. Exclusive is good but must have dark colors only.

With that weight gain i don’t think the power gain will give any results in the real world. I can’t imagine how much a potential E63 amg wagon phev would weight.

An entry level E200 without taxi-fuel sounds and 204 hp would be enough for my needs. I'd take it in that fantastic green colour, with beige interior, the standard screens and and the standard bumpers.

Truth to be told, though, it's good but it's not peak MB. The W211 was peak MB.

I heard that BMW once developed an 1.6 turbo BMW 520i F10 exclusively for the Greek market because engines with displacement above 1929 cm³ are heavily taxed.

I don't know if it was specific to the Greek market, but the 1.6 N20B16 was used in the F25 (second gen) X3 as well as the F10.
