Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

I'm shocked how much power you guy's put on a sketch! The Spy pics still look very sporty, you'll see in a couple of hour's!:usa7uh:

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

I'm going to be logging on to the Audi press site as soon as it is made official to download high resolution images, and then we can make our minds up.

2008 Audi A4 breaks cover
Images of Audi’s next-gen A4 sedan have turned up on Dutch forum AutoWeek.nl (the post has since been removed), less than two weeks ahead of the car’s debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. As the image reveals, the new A4’s styling draws heavily from the larger A5 coupe and could pass as a four-door variant of the recently launched coupe.
The car measures in at 4.7m long and 1.83m wide. Under the new sheet-metal is Audi’s latest Modular Design Platform, which means the new B8 A4 should have better handling characteristics than the outgoing version thanks to improved weight distribution.
The new petrol engine lineup will start with a 1.8L TFSI developing 160hp and top out with a 260hp 3.2L V6 FSI rounding up the range. The TDI diesel range kicks off with a 140hp 2.0L, followed by a 190hp 2.7L V6 and a 3.0L V6 churning out 240hp and 500Nm (369lb-ft) of torque.

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

I'll reserve judgement until the official pics and press release are given, because it looks very bland in the above pic. I'm hoping for something a little more exciting.

I am hoping for the same as well, but the basic design element isn't very exciting, maybe if I see one in real life, then I might change my judgement.

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

The red car is the real thing, get use to it. Doesn't really look like too big an improvement over the B7, and the rear looks glued on directly from the A5. I don't think the A4 has ever been revolutionized design wise since the B5, so I don't mind this design at all. We'll have to wait for more pics to get better perspective. I'm a little sketch on how much of a dynamic improvement this car will be over the current model, if the A5 is any guide(a slightly more narrow track will not be enough, IMO).

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

the new A4 screams old S4 all over the car ;)

Will have to wait for more pics but from this one pic, one word sums it up - bland.

Sadly, it is. Bland... Again, an interesting looking Audi...Blabla...:t-crazy2: It looks like an A6 with A5 front

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

Much as I don't like that image, I'll hold my tongue until we see the whole thing. I panned the new Jag XF based on the same shot and the press photos proved me wrong. Hopefully the new A4's whole will be more than the sum of its parts. Which, for the time being, look rather unimpressive...

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

hi guys

hey if ths is the real pic of the car then i am dissapointed.i am a merc fan but i do respect what audi has done in the past few years,

This unfortunately to me is more like a facelift.yes the lights are nice

But i expected the new a4 to be the best looking in its class.

Well i have to say on the looks alone the new c class is the king of the class in my opinion.

i think yhis a4 is bland ,,,from the cgi's and spys i was expecting a more dynamic looking car ....this falls way short it looks bland very bland

i still have a doubt that this is the real new a4 ...but the audifanatics say it is then it must be true i must say i am disspointed

looks wise the new c is king off the class

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

Ehm... Am I the only one seing two different cars? It's a HUGE difference!!!

I see a difference but I dont see a HUGE difference (I only speak for the front, not the rest of the car.)

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

Man its not a HUGE diffrence comeon.. okay its not identicall..

but a HUGE diffrence comeon..

if you compare the 3er to its last gen..and the C class.. now thats Diffrence..
not this..

this is Similarity

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

Absolutely agreed! There are only two exciting Audi's out there today: RS4 and R8. Hopefully the new RS6 will be the 3rd. But these 'mass-cars' are sooooo boring

Re: FIRST OFFICIAL PIC!!! The new AUDI A4

i agree with just me and artist ..its not really a big difference...

i think the only car that really changed is the new c from the three germans

i think the 3 er they did change it but not a lot maybe due to the bangle stories

i feel the c it the most stunning in elegance and aventgarde

i was at a merc dealer they had a blck 3 er and a black c elegance parked next to each other and the c looked stunning ..and that was elegance i feel the avantgarde is even more stunning

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951).
