The B8 and B7 actually look nothing alike, you just know that the B8 is an A4 by virtue of it's design features. Otherwise the proportions are completely different, the B8 with a car more dynamic stance than the slightly hap-hazard in comparison, B7.

I can't believe that some1 can hate the new A4. I mean what to hate ? The odd proportions of the B7 are all gone. Shorter front overhang, cleaner side profile and a fresher rear ! I hate the bashers

I know this might sound crazy, but I think Audi but the LED's in for how it makes the car look when off!

It looks 100x better when there not on if you ask me..

great car. Is it me or is Audi back to its old practice of having side mirrors different in size?

What makes most people perceive that the B8 is a heavily facelifted B7 is the head lights. Despite the LED bulbs the overall shape of the lights resemble the ones on the B7.

Sorry friends, i have a question for you....
The collaboration between Audi and MB for Bluetec is failed on July.
But Audi, will be continue to study this technology. The firt engine with Bluetec will be the new 2.0 TDI 204cv. Then will arrive the other engines with bluetec.

The question is, When will a 3.0TDI V6 BLUETEC (maybe with 260 PS)arrive on the market?

the B7 already was pretty, now then he was prettier with this design of the B8, in A5 style.
So nice Audi!

One thing i notice with the new A4 is that in the big Audi grille, the pattern is different, it is now back to horizontal and none more of the grid/vertical lines which makes it looks better and more 'normal'.

And i still think the LEDs at the front is.. well, meaningless.. it may look cool and may become an Audi signature.

Probably a good looking car, but it certainly doesn't have any 'wow' factor. Compared to, for example the E60 5series, when it first came out, I test dove it the whole street looked at the car, and i don't think the whole street is full of bmw fans nor car enthusiasts. The new A4 is, just another Audi.

When a whole street looks at a car that may be a disadvantage for some people.

Yannis, don't you think HUGE single grille, and Daytime Running Light LED strips are the features that evidently scream "look at me"?

I think they are.

I would hardly call a car with such huge grille & LED DRL strips understated.




Eg. many people here in our country buy particular Audi models to show off (the most evident cases here are TT, and Q7).

You are partially right. Audis are not as understated as they used to be. Same goes with Mercedes. I guess it's a sign of our times.

If you are proud of your car, if you think your car looks good, then you will think it's attractive. For example Ferrari owners is basically a show off when they drive it in city, it's useless in streets, can't even park because it's too damn low.
But come on, what does that strip of LED mean? Not saying they shouldn't have something of a signature, it can be lighting up their four-circle logo or something, but that strip of LED is like... pointing to a pen and say it means my dog... well, anything... random..

Thanks for posting a pic of both. if people still think the B8 is merely a facelifted B7, I'll gladly purchase you some glasses! The E46 has more in common with the E92 if you ask me.

If E92 have more in common with E46 than new A4 to old one either I´m blind or you see something I don´t.I hope this little intervention by me didn´t upset you alot .As far I see,there ih big difference in size and in roof line particulary and whole car seems to be lower that old one IMO.
