I like the exterior , it looks modern and agressive. The interior on the other hand is a complete failure. Looks like a hybrid between the interior of Touareg and Toyota RAV4.

As for the steering wheel is probably the worse i have ever seen.

Like I said before, it could be the angle of the photo, if not, the steering wheel is the worst part on this car. Hopefully MB offer a sport steering wheel.

There is a strip of chrome on the glove box door, but I would have much rather seen a strip of wood there.

Thanks for the brochure scans / pics.

About the car, it looks great, though I am a little baffled as to why the Avantgarde version has an integrated hood star - probably for reasons of visual sportiness.

The interior looks decent in terms of quality, but that's quite a lot of black plastic on top - and worse, it looks like it was semi inspired by the Lexus IS interior (design wise). :t-banghea

In the end though, I'll need to see it in real life to make my final decision. When the new W221 S-Class and C219 CLS class came out, I thought they looked ugly as sin in the press photos - then I saw them in real life...

Yeh,..but you see for Yannis it ALL depends on what badge is on the steering wheel.

I have to say the interior is well below what I would expect from MB, especially when you compare it to the 3er and A4. That large mass of black plastic is a real eyesore, especially how it overflows down to the centre console.

Also, just exactly what you'd expect from MB. They need to put the AMG sports kit variant on their cover to make the car look appealing. Also, those wheels on C-class w/ sportskit look very similar to the RS4 (just a few less spokes).

Just for the Aussie members here... doesn't the face of the new C-class look remarkably similar to the Holden Statesman ?

Oh, I missed that. It's so tiny it's hardly visible. :D

Still a larger & richer trim is missing there. It's a MB, not a Hyundai, for Gods sake!

The interior is beyond ugliness. :D I seriously need to see the in real life or at least in more appealing photos cause right now it's a nightmare.

Re: First Official 2007 C Class W204 Pics, Cont'd Thread 5.

Dont forget these pictures taken from the brochure are not even scanned. They are pictures taken of the brochure from a cell phone. You cannot see the details that will make the car look/appear better. I know the hi-res official pics wont make the car look soo much more better than what we have seen but these pics show the car in the worst possible way.

The avantgarde sport comes with the 3 spoke steering wheel. That should please all those complaining about the standard wheel.

Re: First Official 2007 C Class W204 Pics, Cont'd Thread 5.

I'm sure the interior will look better with lighter plastic colors. Also, people tend to make a big deal out of the plastic quality, which in this case is probably on par with that found in Audi and BMW. ;)

I think it is just the visual presentation and layout and coloring which makes it look "cheap". Based on my experience, this interior is similar to an Elegance-spec A-Class interior, which is pretty good. Only here on the W204 C-Class, it looks to be much much better. Also, for all we know, that interior picture could have come from a CLASSIC spec C-Class. There will probably be wood options on the Elegance and Avantgarde models. ;)

While going through our inbox this afternoon we received two simultaneous emails, both of of which alerted us to the fact that the world's first photos of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class have emerged, showcased via the next C's official brochure.

Initially posted by Vivaki at the German Car Zone, the brochure depicts the 2008 C-Class from several angles as well as a final view of what the C's new interior will look like...

Re: First Official 2007 C Class W204 Pics, Cont'd Thread 5.

Thank you so much VIVAKI.

The car looks very good so far. The difference in character between the elegance and avant-garde is quite remarkable, and I think will prove to be a very canny marketing move by MB.

The interior will prove to be just fine with better pictures and in person. The execution screams solidity (just like a Benz should!) and the quality of materials should be excellent (just look at how thick and sumptuous the seats look...on a C class!!!). I don't know what the fuss is all about as the BMW and Lexus interiors are nothing out of the ordinary (read very boring design wise) and neither is of outstanding quality either. The C will be better.

I guarantee these pictures still are not doing the car justice.
