Apart for the light graphic changes as well as new front and rear bumpers it doesn't look that much different to the SLK, I am slightly disappointed. The interior still looks good except for the Center console with cheap looking black panel and switches. Why on earth have they called the AMG model a SLC 43? It's numbering is totally out of line with other models, there is no other 43 model in the AMG range and even 2.0 ltr 4 cylinder models in A and CLA class are numbered 45 while this model has a larger 3.0ltr V6 which doesn't make sense at all.
Engine range is otherwise not changed and a bit disappointing, only SLC180 and SLC43 are new models.
It looks like that great looking gear stick is available on all models and not just the AMG SLC43 (ummm SLC 450 AMG lol)love that gear stick![]()
Only hairdressers lolDoes anybody buy this car?
Maybe the next gen SLC will be 300mm higher and become a cross over hardtop convertibleThe entire market for these cars has collapsed in the U.S. YTD through Nov U.S. Sales:
Boxster: 2887
Z4: 1576
TT: 929
SLK: 3892
The Z4 and SLK in particular use to do 10-20K units a year back in 2006-2008. This market is just gone.
Best years:
Boxster: 9875 (2002)
Z4: 20,182 (2003)
TT: 9513 (2002)
SLK: 11,278 (2005)
They will never see those heights again with the crossover craze going on now.
