I think the W206 C-class is also going to be a looker, it will be the pinnacle of elegant compact saloon design by Mercedes. The W223 is in my opinion one of the best looking S-class models in history. It combines the perfect combination of sporty and luxurious elements and I am sure will be a benchmark car in comfort and noise levels. I like that Mercedes has combined some links to past models in some of its styling elements.

Once the S Coupe/Cabrio is officially out of production, this will be true. I agree. Then after that (for me) would be the E-Class Cabriolet. Then the G.

To be fair, I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these. They look imposing and stately the right way. This has not happened in a few years.

I must say...these comparative images leave me realizing how "wiry" the A8 looks. That in itself is kind of a cool attribute.

I would never have thought that one day the double kidneys on a BMW would be the same size as a Mercedes Classic Grill, but BMW have finally achieved this feat with the LCI 7-series.

The W223 actually looks like the slimmer and lower car in this comparison. The A8 seems really oversized compared to the 7-series and S-class, it appears wider with its huge grill.

Im not in love with this A8 chiseled lights and grill shape, it doesn't look elegant at all and certainly stands out for been a little too clinical in this class. I am a big fan of the LCI 7-series, I have seen many on the road here and the bigger grill and slim headlights really work and give the car a much more imposing and elegant appearance.

I loved the 7 LCI upon initial presentation. But like all newer BMW designs, I'm over it within 18 months after seeing them on the road.

I think the X7 looks positively dated now.

I often agree with both Dalab and Kiki but I think Kiki is right in this case. The 7er was launched a while ago indeed but the design was created to last years. I quite like the 7er LCI especially the M design one, but here it’s truly not smart to compare the cars in these specs. As most of us agree this time there is no base model in the S, it’s rather an Elegance and a Sport version. Many of you actually prefer this one, but I prefer the AMG line one, and because of this I would like to see that compared to an M design 7er and an S line A8. On the other hand I would also be happy to compare the “Elegance” pack cars with each other as well. It’s quite disappointing that they had the chance to make the first comparison and they messed up so much. And I’m not biased towards the S in this problem, the fact that they used SWH 7er is not that fair either. You gotta make a full spec version of all three cars, with good rims, good interior, and then compare, it’s not some f#cking Golf.
