You don't need 200 buttons, you need a few and the rest of the functions can be relegated to the main screen. Both the Panamera and the Continental GT have nailed this and managed to do something so much more beautiful then a huge vertical screen.

^Clueless

The Panamera and Bentley CGT don`t have the customization features or advancements of the S.
The S-Class is the most interactive production vehicle on the planet right now. It is very close to being a cyborg on 4-wheels.
The vertical screen offers choices in logical menu configurations and luxury features, some which are not found of the Flying Spur or Panamera.

The fact that you called me clueless and went on to write that post is frankly hilarious.

Yet , before you post something stupid AGAIN , I will let you know that the future of Porsche is button-less . You posted the Panamera , yet you did not post the flagship future-proof Taycan , who is almost all button-less...

Here you go a picture. Go count the buttons

Do you have some sort of reading comprehension problem ?

Did I at any point say anything at all about the future of Porsche? No, I didn’t, I was making the point that even today it’s possible to have buttons in the center console and make it look beautiful.

Maybe instead of counting buttons, you should be counting neurons.

I for one will be glad when we can see the car in person. The bark blue picture above looks absolutely bland, just meh. Nothing special from the outside. I have no allegiance to this or any other brand and this car was indeed on my short list. I am hoping it looks special in person.

MB Passion describes the rear seat options a bit. :)

THE S-CLASS REAR: A KEY SUCCESS FACTOR

Especially with the rear, the S-Class has been scoring for generations. The new edition in the 223 series offers new features not seen before. In addition to the rear airbag for more safety, the new generation also enriches the seats with more visual and tangible intelligence.

@Crunch Slaughter: I have a fried who's driving only S classes for the last 30 years and his leitmotiv is: wait always for the facelift.

Don´t think this is true nowadays. They are aiming at high quality right from the start of series production.

Looks like the backseat will be a hot place to be...

It's terrible that the S-class still doesn't come with rear climate control. :jpshakehe
