That sounds like a swell idea @klier . Maybe in the future there will be tuning companies retrofitting 21st century tech into 20th century cars. Imagine a W140 with six airbags, distronic plus and MBUX.

I would love to see what W222 owners have to say about W223.

And I say this , because I really like the W223 interior. And W222 is not as perfect as many of you think. It had issues also (design wise)

My W222 does a whistle when I open 1cm of any front window. My dash is misaligned with the door trim ( from the pictures I see that W223 is not) . The front chairs squeak . The rear windows + rear boot buttons are broken ( I see that W223 do not have classic buttons anymore for this ) .

And other small quirks that are really annoying from time to time . In 7 years , I got used to most , but I am looking forward to change it with W223.

Wow. Our S was faultless in 3 years of ownership, from start to finish.

The quality saga with our 8 series continues however, less than 1 year in!

Love this

Not surprising at all in my book.
The first year of most all luxury cars is going to have "teething issues"
with small problems.
Come face/lift time and usually within the last cycle of the car production span is when these issues get addressed and worked out.
Now is really a good time to consider a 222 S-Class.

The exterior is just all that to me. I didn't think they could do it, but they took away some of the unnecessary lines and details from the gorgeous W222 and made it even better. I like the interior, but I must sit in it to give my final determination. The exterior though, it's a win.

When I rise to power these wheels will be banned.

Nothing wrong with 5-spoke AMG rims, but they do look tiny on the 223 and the design doesn't complement the car's exterior. The multispokes, particularly the 60R and the RWK/RWN, works quite well on this sleeker S-class body.

I don’t like that it just stops there, the led line would look better if it gets thinner and blends in as oppose to just being cut off

A full width, connecting "EQ-esque" taillamp band would have been not only more "progressive"-but also far more elegant.
