The big difference between this AMG S63 E-performance and my down to earth S 350d is, that in ten to fifteen years time mine will still be on the road, due to reliable and old technology functioning flawlessly (talking about sustainability). My bold prediction is, that that won't be the case with the S63 with it's E-preformance overkill.

Truly impress by the car, luxury and power with a really good design I'm impressed.

But why didn't AMG do this with the C63?

:(

Because she said no :)-

Also differentiation, C Class engines and S Class engines being largely the same was never an issue before, from memory.

One day, Greta Thunberg will block the path of an ambulance, causing the death of a patient, and I hope she receives a life imprisonment.

I would have loved for them to have used the 55 engine on the C class and arrived at essentially the same tupe of power as they do now, but have a v8. The 4-cyl engine is just a failure to what the essence of this model is. The C has always gotten a lower level of tune than the E and the S.

I'm very curious to see what the acceleration is like in EV mode and how far can it go on EV mode.

Probably something like 8 seconds 0-60. They say about 20 miles under ideal conditions on EV alone. Real world probably 10-15 miles until the V8 has to kick in.

It is kind of cool to have the option to leave/enter the garage and neighborhood quietly at quiet hours, not to mention commuting in urban areas without emiting gases.

This is a review that was very positive.

Raz drove it in Sport+ mode all the time so yeah its good but S-class owners don't drive in Sport mode, they want the power at any moment and the hybrid system has a big delay as per Matt from carwow test drive. But he's not allowed to criticize Mercedes, otherwise no Black Series next time.

Its funny, before buying the AMG GT I watched Raz review where he mentioned there's little road noise in the car. In reality the road noise is excessive.

If he is not allowed to criticize Mercedes, he has screwed up royally then with the review of the C 63. I think he is fairly objective. If there is a bias, I believe it comes out of him being a true AMG fan rather than servile to the manufacturer.
