Pretty impressive acceleration numbers from the S450d.

The 0-100km/h time of 5.11sec is only 0.11sec slower than claimed (5.0sec) and only 0.2sec slower than the previous 435PS S500 petrol model. The 0-200km/h time of 18.63sec is virtually the same as the S500 also (18.2sec).

Cover your eyes. I don't think I've ever seen something so bad.......

I don't understand why you can't just enjoy the elegant lines of the W223 in their original beauty and have to mess up this goddess like that
Mansory must do its focus groups with drug traffickers

The car that apparently can't be tested by the press.

Well here in the U.S. dealers are getting one allocation for a car built in March…and then everyone gets just a trickle of allocations until things open up a bit more in the summer. This is going to be a rare vehicle for a long time.

Good specs but the engine is for airport taxis rather than private buyers. However it's good to see that it has top-end grunt for high top speed.

I think plenty private buyers who want to do loads of miles will be happy with the 450d.
Not to mention company cars. This thing would probably do a million miles on a single tank.

It’s a good alternative to the plugin V6 if you don’t find the software between ICE and electric motor to be smooth.

Personally I think this is the best model in the range as it combines really good performance with brilliant diesel economy (it can achieve 1000km on a 65 liter tank) and it is not as heavy or space compromised as the Hybrid models.

The only downside is diesel is unsexy from the outside. A bit gruff and noisy.

You really should do yourself the favor of standing next to a 6 cylinder diesel from BMW 740 or Mercedes 350/450. If that sound isn’t sexy, I don’t know what is.
Yeah, Gal Gadot is sexy too.
