Here in Europe...when i chose for the E class in mid 2016 ,the ornament, matt wood, the whole dashboard AND the centre console are in black matt wood. The E class FL its how you say it is now
And, another point...lets face it...when you present the S class in so many trims..the best leather, panoramic roof and so on, you never chose OTHER than plastic piano black just to show case its total beauty? COme on, its clear. I mean 0 pictures with that, we have only carbon and plastic piano black in all their promo pics and videos
Im sorry, but based on marketing and promo thing, i bet , at least here, at the start ONLY the carbon trim will be different for the middle console. So, not a lot of people will have high hopes...at least for 2021

thats in germany not the case. the same trim centre console was always an option (after the introduction of this).
and the point is mercedes likes this shiny black plastic so much. they think its the most beautiful thing on earth. of course they show especially this. lets wait on the pricelist. then we can say more.

A few things are clear in these pics. The BMW 7-Series is still a looker, especially in the side profile, that the S is a clear winner, and that the A8 looks terrible from every view except the dead on rear view.

I have a confession - I've never been in an S-Class. Any S-Class. I guess I'm missing out no?
Yes you're missing out my man....

As for the car, initially felt indifferent when it was released yesterday...That said, already love it, on second thought...It's an absolute technological tour de force... Now bring on the Maybach and AMG variants

This shot right here is everything. That shoulder line and profile is pure art.

Just realized what that shoulder line looks like. It looks like a stroke with a sharp pencil. Sublime

Sorry if it was asked before, when will the AMG and the Maybach come?

Ultimately I'm not worried about Mercedes making a good looking car, they almost always with a few exceptions do that, I want the fit and finish, material, build quality to be the best. You have a new factory. Quality should be the #1 priority. That is more important than any new screen, feature or autonomous driving bullshit. When you close the door I want to be ensconced in quality. Then make sure it drives perfectly. All that other shit is negotiable.

I like this wood trim and light coloured interior, its so classy. The metal cover for the rotating tweeter speaker on top of the door looks amazing, like a jewel.

The rear 3/4 view of the S-class in darker and lighter colours looks top class.

Only downside with meatal speaker grille is that people (or kids) can easily dent it with their thumbs like I seen once on a Volvo at an auto show.

Here is a good video of the car inside and out. No annoying person talking, just the car being poured over.

Can't wait to see the Maybach version, the beautiful shoulder line allow MB to have 2 tones colour for the Maybach line.

The rear of the S-CLASS I start to like it.

If not the materials its interior would be a disaster. Im trying to like it, but its looks cheap and primitive.

MB design language is dead at this moment. A soap outside and bs inside.
