Hm, the CD Player looks Bang & Olufsen inspired? Who is the man behind the wheel? :)

Sometimes, I feel like the R Class was too much ahead of its time (in terms of coming to market). Wonder if it will ever be brought back. I'm really sorry for this off-topic.

The biggest IDIOT in MB history! That's who.

Yes, the stereo is Bang & Olufsen inspired. It's Professor Jürgen Hubbert at the wheel, also called "Mr. Mercedes" at the time, an engineer who chaired Mercedes-Benz (not Daimler) for many years until he retired in 2004.

@ Mr. Mercedes. You are thinking of Jürgen Schrempp.. :)

Hahaha:ROFLMAO:

I also thought Mr Merc thought about Schrempp, however when I googled him, different man came in the pics...

Haha my bad!

But at least we all know the name of the biggest idiot in MB's history, even if we don't know what he looks like. Maybe just as well...imagine if one of us ran into him...

Mercedes to offer an S-Class EV - report

Likely several years off

In a recent interview, Dr Uwe Ernstberger revealed Mercedes will offer an S-Class EV.

Speaking to Top Gear, Ernstberger confirmed "a complete electric car will be done in the future." However, the model is likely a ways off as he explained "We have to work on the capacities of the batteries to get a better package in the car because you do not want to lose all the comfort features of an S-Class for transporting a battery only."

Ernstberger also revealed the S-Class is a natural candidate for an advanced autonomous driving system but the company is still debating on how far they can push the technology in the short term.

While Ernstberger declined to talk about additional S-Class variants, Mercedes design chief Gordon Wagener said "We already have such a big beautiful coupe [the S-Class Coupe], so let rumors of an S-Class Cabriolet rise."

I have a thought that I can't post on another forum........Is it me, or does every attempt from an aftermarket vendor to change the body of the 222 in some way just destroys the car...??? It seems MB designed this car with such precision and thought, that any attempt to alter is an epic fail.... I have seen at least 10 companies try to add a body kit, and they all just don't work.....

I agree, the analyst in me wonders how many kits they are selling? Why are so many vendors trying to change the car? Anything from spoilers (which are no improvement over the MB spoiler or are much worse than the MB spoiler) to skirts, nose jobs, etc. IMO all of these kits just cheapen the look of the car, haven't seen one yet that makes any improvement.

So do I. There is no kit that looks better for me than the original one. Sometimes I have a thought, how strange it is that so popular vendors with their reputation manage to do so ugly cars from the beauty W222 :)

^whuaa is that designo or some tuner..

Looks like a tuner interior...there is something written on the seats.
