S-Class W222 [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222)

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class produced from 2013 to 2020, serving as the successor to the W221 S-Class and predecessor to the W223 S-Class. The W222 has a similar design theme to the C-Class (W205) and E-Class (W213).
That was low ;)

So, does anyone have any photos of the standard interior? No separate seats, no exclusive electronics and leather, just the standard interior?

Why do you consider this funny, @LaArtist?

It's the second time I ask if there are pictures of the standard interior available, to which I only got one reply - from Hussein, pointing out an ingenious marketing move, to not show anything without all the extra options! It's hard to imaging what the $$ will get you, when you are super excited with all those photos floating the internet.

;)

Here are some rather poor pics of a standard U.S spec (rear entertainment aside) test car from a month ago at a nearby car wash. Should have taken more detailed pics:

Has anyone seen any reviews or heard in person the standard Burmeister system vs the Burmeister 3d system? I would love to have the upgraded sound, but am having a hard time accepting the $6,400 price tag.

In my Audi S8, the B & O system is far far better than the stock Bose, and is well worth the cost (IMO).

From what I have read about the standard Burmeister system, it looks to provide a lot of what my current B & O system provides. I'm very happy with my current system, and would like to know if the Burmeister 3d system is that "revolutionary and amazing..." thoughts/opinions?

Is it not possible to remove the blank buttons in front of the seat controllers on the doors? It is just a constant reminder of how the owner has cheapen out on the options.

Aha, the country of Robert Lewandowski ! (y)

Quite a lot of money € 188.000. Over here in Germany full options S 500L comes to circa € 176.000.

Edit: for our American friends, that's $ 229.000 :eek:

What's the feeling generally from our members, are the upper luxury segment's sales numbers going to come down?

@Human
Hard to say. In Europe your average John has less and less money to spend. In the southern countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece) it's crisis. However, the usual supsects buying these kind of limo's aren't always experiencing the same kind of problems as you and I. Talking about the S, I think in the first year good salesnumbers (replacement W221 etc., States limousines, Limo services etc.). After that, I don't know. If the "crisis" in Europe carries on, more and more are going to feel it's consequences. Besides, in germany it's from a social point of view not done, when the Boss drives a S 500 L, after telling his employees their salaries need to be cut because of the crisis and firing some as well (not my opinion, but a lot people think that way). I can imagine that some are going to size down to an E-Klasse.
As said, hard to tell, but I think worldwide the segment carries on on this level, potentially even selling more.
