S-Class (W222/C217/A217) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222)

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class. Body styles: W222 (standard), V222 (long), X222 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach), VV222 (pullman), C127 (coupé), A217 (convertible). Predecessor: S-Class (W221). Successor: S-Class (W223). Production: 2013–2020.
I have a question, how to react when, for example, here we go MAGIC system CONTROL BODY 5 km/h and the depth of the hole is the size of 15 inches? Then the suspension will be raised to the top of your computer?

It is in the conversation with the Ghost and Flying Spur, but that is it. They still have finer, hand made details that Mercedes can't duplicate for the price as others have stated. Forget the Phanton and what is IMO the best sitting car in the world, the Mulsanne. S-Class can't touch those in any way outside of tech.

Now that I've had extensive time with both, I disagree even on the Ghost. It's clearly at a different price point, as is appropriate. My bare feet much prefer the lambswool carpets in the Ghost. :P

What are you disagreeing with? I said that the car is in the conversation with, but doesn't really match or beat those cars.

The best argument for the S class is that it is considered with Ghost and Phantom which are twice thrice its price and are developed for that price points. It may not have the aura of the boutique brands but where Mercedes is concentrating, that is technology and power (S65), the S delivers in abundance. The Maybach is dead...Long live the S class.

Doesn't matter if the S is slaughtered by the hand builds.....the fact that we are even having this discussion only confirms that I made the right choice for my budget. ;)

Now that I re-read your post I see I latched on to the "conversation" part of your post.

When I see that word, for me it conjures a scenario in which someone walks into a RR dealer and says "hmm this is good. Maybe I should check out the S-class though, it's a wildcard but I may buy that instead." Which, in reality, practically never happens. There's the source of my disagreement. :)

Ok.

Agreed, that scenario may exceed MBC's capabilities. There's hope, though, future versions may be able to "jump" over suitably sized potholes. :)

Caution: MBC production volumes are said to be very limited through spring, thus remaining a rare/exclusive option. Order code 487.

Not many, Luke. S-Klasse is still Class of it's own and the best car of it's class and above. But, I'm very tempted by the facelifted A8. Never in my live thought I'd be driving an A8. But now? As I said, very tempted. Maybe it's just my mood of the day :) But it's getting seriously critical. Read also my recent experiences above.
It certainly is nice, shame the sun roof is so small.... That was my only real gripe-

Dropped by to check out a CLA 45 AMG by my dealer and had a chance to check out (visually) a black/black S 63 AMG. Looked good, but never before have AMG models been so undifferentiated from regular ones. Literally, all I could use to tell it appart was the missing fins inside the air intakes (present in the regular models).

(Off topic, but the CLA 45 AMG looked good, until I took stock of its front overhang). For me, it is a tossup between the next C and a FL E (entry trim).
