Wow, there are 2000 people driving right now after 2 weeks, and I have to wait till February. By then, it'll probably be 5 times that.....

I would second that except that I would add "modern" to the comment. A prestine W108 is still more majestic than all the Benz S classes followed it imo.

W126 is also my favorite and after the departure of that model every other S class until W222 had me thinking, I wish something was different. I haven't seen the new S class on the road yet but in pictures especially in dark colors the car appears very pretty and bold.......so called teutonic. W140 was teutonic but not pretty, W220 was pretty but very slender. And W221 has those ungainly wheel arches and lack proper proportion in SWB form imo. W222 is also the first S class that looks AS good in SWB as in the LWB.

I just saw a silver s550 in person today and my jaws dropped. My wife was like...this is what we getting?! I said Yes, but in black...and her jaws dropped to the floor....
She and I have owned 4 Mercedes together and other brands, but this 222 is the most beautiful sedan we've ever seen, and we're more excited about this car than all 4 of our Mercedes combined! THE MOST MAGNIFICENT S CLASS OF ALL TIME! And last I will add......Plus one, Plus one, Plus one, Plus one.....the Plus one wheels are breathtaking!

However, that price still gets me crying over prices over here: € 89.000.... for a S500 very nicely spec'd as yours. Would cost me at least € 140.000 = circa $ 189.000 over here in germany.

The price its a hugeeeeee difference indeed if you see US numbers....141k € here for the V8 (at least the was the official price...). 127k (21" amg rims included) + options.
