S-Class (W222/C217/A217) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222 Facelift) 2017-2020

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class. Body styles: W222 (standard), V222 (long), X222 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach), VV222 (pullman), C127 (coupé), A217 (convertible). Predecessor: S-Class (W221). Successor: S-Class (W223). Production: 2013–2020.
I suspect some members' dream garage would look like this:

I amazed show sharp the pre-FL AMG pack and AMG still looks on the road. Big contrast from the W220 and W221

I drove a BMW 730d xDrive (G11) last month for three days. Over the weekend I drove the facelifted S-Class (W222) for the first time. Four days and 2,100km in a S 400 d 4MATIC.

The S-Class is simply amazing. The new engine is so smooth and quiet, and the few touches to the interior and the displays has elevated this car to one of my favourite cars I've ever experienced. Lost for words how "complete" this car feels, and how it provides what I'm looking for in this class.

The 7 Series doesn't even come close to giving me the sense of occasion the S-Class does, and I'm a BMW fan.

Helped talk a friend out of a matte gray S63. Admittedly, it's menacing in person, but it should be a combo for the C/E, not the S. He's going with a Diamond white example instead from another dealership.

Too many matte gray S-classes coming stateside.

Another imcoming S63 in the same combo, but with more options. $210K

Saw this loaded S560 at the car wash. Much to my chagrin it really pulled off the Magno.

E63 Estates are reaching dealerships. Aka, the MB that attracts the highest net worth MB clients. Weird, but long-standing statistic:

That is a wise choice, the matte grey is nice but it doesn't suit the S class.

That is what Doug said as well. I suppose only these buyers can afford the depreciation? The E63 estate seems to be a very popular buy on MB owner forums.

Mercedes sells more cars in the 50-120K range than anyone else and it's easy to see how/why. They simply offer much more choice. BMW and Audi are fools for letting Mercedes sell E-Class wagons, especially E63 wagons in the U.S. with no competition. A RS6 Avant would sell.

I completely disagree - got my new S-class painted in Designo Allanite Gray Magno three weeks ago - the colour is gorgeous and suits the s-class perfectly. Sporty and elegant. You have to see it in real life.

Interesting. Are we talking about E Estates as a whole or just the E AMG Estates? I'd thought that stat would belong to something like a V12 S or the G-wagen or their sportscars (SLS/AMG-GT).

Mercedes Benz India today launched the first BS-VI (Euro 6) complaint car in the country, aparently the car which which carried the new range of engine is the new S-Class. Even though the country is implimenting the stricter emission norm 2020, MB India along with ‘MB Research & Developement India’ did whole lot of R&D and made the Euro 6 Engine compatable for lower quality Euro 4 fuel which was a great move.

Do you happen to know how many S-Classes are built in India annaually (average)?

The flag off is done by the minister for transporation & army many is his security

MB India has not given out specific model numbers, i expect it be less 1000 units including the models assembled in the local plant & imported ones like Maybach & AMG editions

Very interesting color, never seen it before on a S class.

Looks very nice indeed, it looks like designo chromoflair blue..

It's Designo Mystic Blue. I've specced my 63 with it, but I'm contempating just going Lunar Blue, which is a no-cost option. MB charges a big premium for the paint option.

It looks amazing in sunlight - If you've seen BMW's San Marino Blue, it's similar, especially with how deep the blue is.
