:D

Back on the thread subject, i was really expecting a lot more of this car. This should be the car for younger crowd and i think for that reason it should have looked a little bit less boxy, both inside and out, more dynamic and more appealing. I know many of you will disagree, but that's how i feel. To resemble the baby G is not a bad idea, but i don't know, it just doesn't work for me...:t-hands:

:t-cheers:

I think you are wrong considering here in America the "younger crowd" goes for Jeeps namely Wranglers and such, and they are incredibly boxy.

For me as far as design the GLK is a breath of fresh air.

Wow, I have got to say.......quite f'ing good, inside out.

LOL at the X3 now :(

Don't worry about X3, the interior is pure E46. We shouldn't care much for it since replacement is just around the corner.

Yeah the X3 is pretty much trounced and i really never cared for it anyway. The new one couldn't come soon enough!

Now that we know how the Q5 looks, I think the GLK is the best looking in this segment (at least as long as it doesn't have those black plugs - almost looks like they forgot to remove some camo from testing). It should rack up some impressive sales in the US.

IMO it isn't any better-looking than the X3. To me ML and GL look better than GLK and X5 & X6 look better than X3. Due to lack of high-res pictures I won't judge the Q5 yet but looks like it's impossible to make a small SUV that looks better than the bigger ones in the lineup.
The interior has a better design than the C-Class. I especially like that there is much larger area covered by the wood/aluminum trim.

Looks like Mercedes-Benz will be targeting men with this model. Very rugged looking, which is a good thing in this segment. Some will have to get use to the boxy look, but I don't think it will be a major issue. Hey, look at how people are upset over the r-class and that has major curve appeal.

I really doubt Benz will have a problem pushing this off the lot. Of course it depends on MPG number. I know we will probably be hitting 4 plus per gallon when this SUV hits the market. Other then that issue, I think it will be ok.

As far as competition (X3, Q5, EX etc.) I should do well in the US. Europe might go more for the Q5, but who knows.

The Interior is great, but I do see a "little" BMW in it. Of course Benz, perfected the design Lol. Looks like the interior is up to Benz quality and high standards. I doubt I will be purchasing it any time soon. I'm still looking to buy the GL.

Over all great design for Benz. Now for the other designs CLE,SLC,E...... :eusa_danc Keep um coming Benz!

I like that there aren't any chrome strips on the front end, gives the car a very clean look.

It looks surprisingly good... On first glance, I thought this looked far too rugged for a Mercedes. But then the stance and honesty of the design really won me over. The interior is clearly inspired by Land Rover. Not a bad thing really.

Does anyone know which version of the GLK who has the ugly blacks? is it the off-road engineered package?!

There's something fresh about this car. This could be a hit.

Must say that i am liking it more & more, even the interior is appealing now. I think this car is by far the most attractive out of the three german mini Suv.
