I guess an AMG is an AMG now. No more second tier status.

I think you may be right. Interior looks more AMG-like with the Alcántara as well.

Nah man, It's like the GLC. It's so simple in design, but looks taught and muscular on the road.

Overall this thing looks great!

Anybody else not thrilled with the “double ringed” front emblem/star? May just be a matter of getting used to it. Also wondering whether I will be retrofitting a vertical slat grille on my cls 53 at some point if it’s even possible. I’m assuming it will feature on all 53’s in the near future.

I wonder how much wilder if at all, the GLE 63 will look? I mean it can't look just like the 53 right?

Tough one. I would like to see even more flared fenders and overall aggression. Something Akin to the original aav concept for the m class. In reality though maybe there won’t be much more than wider/larger front air-vents, 63 exhaust and some 63 wheel designs. I hope it’s not gonna be like the old days when you had the wannabes putting on fake badging. It will certainly make it a lot easier to do so if mb does not differentiate much this time around.

Well big up to MB for releasing this car early and giving it the full AMG treatment except the "hand built" engine. BMW were first to the market with thew X5, but still no M50i. I have a feeling MB will also debut the GLE63s before the X5M.
