Perhaps the cost benefit in marketing works for them, I wouldn't know exactly how, but they will do it for a reason

V6 diesel variant is avaiable in the UK. However, it’s not a cheap way to get a G. Used prices are eye watering.

MB UK 2 year wait for a G-class. Rest of Europe - available from stock. No one wants to wait. Loads on autotrader well above RRP. No intention of using them. I think the G400 has just gone from £100k (could get up to 5% off these) to £136k in the space of 18 months...

Some time this year if that helps! There is an order stop for current model and they cant confirm price or exact options for new one yet but can book a slot.

Nice, a whole story in a single photo collage.
From the Popemóvil to whatever you can think of, unfortunately being a very expensive vehicle for these latitudes we did not have the pleasure of seeing it in almost any function, less in the private one and I am talking about five different countries I' live around here.
In short, an icon, (of the few that remain that testify to the robustness of the brand), although I am against not redesigning it after 45 years
