I was going to say the same thing, but you won’t ever see a G ur through this type of abuse. It gives far more insight into how tough the car is than all of the so called “tests”.

Doubt they will change the interior screens? Eqg spy shots show still the same, is this expected to be the same too? I remember the previous generation kept that stand out tablet screen for years too!!
A hyper screen would unlikely be suitable as the glass could shatter during extreme off roading or be prone to scratches if the car is driven with windows down on the sand dunes of Dubai.

Mark my words, the facelifted G's new Citroen-esque hydraulically linked suspensions will be a nightmare and a bottomless money-pit for owners once the system starts failing. Just imagine how much it would cost to replace all the pumps, valve-bodies, , control units, and hoses. Best to stick with the old anti-roll bar system.

They're for aerodynamics.

It hasn't been especially problematic in other applications, even for upstarts like Rivian. Toyota's version has been in use for decades at this point.

I don't think people buy G-wagens anyway. They lease them, which will probably cover maintenance if they're smart about the agreement.

Also if you can afford a £200k car, you can deal with the maintenance.

Also I'm pretty sure the Purosangue has the same sort of system. Don't see people worrying about the reliability of that.

Final edition for the V8 G550. The 2025 model will be an I6 as everyone knows. A version of the S580e or GLE53 Hybrid powertrain would be a nice replacement for the V8 in the G550.

Yikes. Just wait till this little trick is done at the wrong time. That said, they won’t be able to build enough of them.

I thought it was only meant to work on low traction surfaces/off road? How does it warn pedestrians it's going to spin? Just watched them spinning on Vegas strip and video says road was specially prepared....Will be interesting to see if they try to prevent it spinning on certain surfaces.

I can only imagine the lawsuits.
