I wish they'd upgrade the infotainment to the most current system. Maybe next year.

I cant afford any G model but if I can I would choose it over any other Mercedes model in the current line up. This car is from the era when Mercedes was "engineered like no other car in the world" and one can still have a new car from that era is amazing. New Mercedes just doesn't have the stance or the looks of this car regardless of price. And legendary Bruno Sacco was the man in the designing studio. WoW!

It's certainly got cult status in Europe - it's pretty common that all the other G-Klasse give you a wave as you drive past.

I'm not really an off roader person, but the G is special. I also love the Defender.

Yeah, Defenders are good but no match for G class in terms of everyday use.

The AMG G 65 may be quite a deal in the USA, since it's priced below the AMG S 65 and AMG S 65 Coupe and more along the lines of the AMG SL 65?

These G-classes have so much character, love them to bits. Is it true @Wolfgang the FL will come next year with redesigned suspension, wider body made from alu and much lighter construction/weight?

I'm an italian guy and I'm going to buy a 2016 G...
I've read that in a couple of years Mercedes could lounch a completely new G!!
in your opinion does it make sense buy a 2016 model? would be better wait for the new one?

The new one will definitely be a huge upgrade from a ride and handling perspective. If you can wait, then wait. However, if you're impatient like me then buy the current model and enjoy!
