That's a really good overview of the car. It definitely benefits as much as possible design wise in darker colors. The interior should impress most buyers and if the range is good that will do so also.

Right so i saw this thing in Germany a week ago when I drove past a closed MB dealer in Marburg at night. So I naturally parked and looked in the window like a creep, there was 2 of them one normal spec silver and one amg spec 2 tone. And all I can say is that it is disgusting, it is so damn bad it’s shocking even. The rear lights and head on view of the rear and front is cool but the profile , Jesus Christ it is horrendous. Nothing can save this car. Hopefully the eqe is better, it seems so!

I think it's the type of car that, when behind the wheel, the exterior fades from your mind. You just immerse yourself in the vassle that is total relaxation and luxury.

At 610L the boot rivals the GLS, making it perfect as a family car.

Yeah interior is top tier, almost Good enough to ignore the exterior.

I had an interesting conversation with my neighbor the other day who currently owns 3 Tesla and has an order for the Model S Plaid in place. Apparently the waiting period for the Plaid in the UK (right hand drive market?) is an year and half! He is thinking about cancelling the Plaid order and get an EQS as instead as in his own words - he can no longer justify to himself the money he pay's for Model S's bare minimalist interior. He sees EQS as luxurious and I think there will be market for EQS where the customer puts greater emphasis on perceived luxury.

Someone in my building just got a new Tesla with the Yoke steering wheel. From outside the leather looks of MUCH higher quality than what they previously used, but I think the interior took a step back with the monitor just propped up as it is.

I've spent plenty of time in a Plaid at this point. The leather is nicer but the rest of the interior is not much better in terms of materials and fit/finish.

There are certain things in the iX interior I do really like such as the crystal I-drive controller, seat controls and the wood center console with built in touch sensitive buttons as well as the seats but the 2 things that annoy me and make it shout out cheapness is the plastic thick attachment behind the screen on the dash as well as the plastic top mounted dash speaker with huge 1980's size holes which doesnt match the sophisticated look of the rest of the interior,

The double screen is also done by so many other manufacturers at present such as most Korean cars and also VW and previous gen Mercedes products.

The EQS hyperscreen is unique and is a design center piece in the cabin. No other car has that type of dash setup and design and is yet to be copied.

Maybe cause it is a horrible idea? Putting a big shiny glass angled at your face just to give fake impression of a big screen when it is just two normal ones. Besides playing to the peanut gallery, it has no f#cking function whatsoever.

On another note, while I was not exhaustive about it, I couldn't recall another 100k car that took more than 6 secs for 0-100kmh. Anyone else knows of one?

What an exceptional bad looking Mercedes-Benz. It’s big, unflattering high and rather formless. Not to mention that terrible -looking aged in no time- interior.
