What is your impressions about the driving experience compared to the w223?Yes, I have, but only for a short distance (if I remember correctly, circa 100 km).

Timing has nothing to do with it.EQS will be remembered as the flop of the decade for MB. Maybe decades.
Besides the design , this car had the worst timing . Right after COVID , right after shortage , right after major markups , and now , prices are dropping as heck worldwide.
Those markups had a huge emotional impact over many people . I remember a YouTuber , Jon Rettinger, that had the same issue with his order for a EQS , and he just went and bought a Lucid , instead of paying over 50k extra for nothing. And had lots of exposure in the media over this. Not all press is good press.
There are lots of EQS for sale , everywhere.
It’s drive is like a S class, comfortable and quiet. Not as quiet as one makes you believe imo. Above a certain speed (80 km/h) it was not quieter than mine, because of tyre and driving noise as such. What is your impressions about the driving experience compared to the w223?

To me the hyperscreen is overkill. Too bright (thank God you can regulate it’s brightness), too much distraction. It would be commendable, if MB offered some sort of night panel option. Like we’ve seen at SAAB.
Furthermore it has the same flaws in the interior as can be seen on all newer Benz’s.
I really don’t know if that’s possible. As I said, the brightness can be regulated. During my drive, the third screen, the passenger screen, is off and stays that way. Visible was a star pattern. It can only be operated if there’s a passenger on board, by that passenger itself. At least, so I understood. Can you not turn of the centre screen ? Or use the mode where it's very dim forgot what it's called.
I can imagine Mick it must take some getting used to not using the brake pedal at all to come to a full stop. Is the regen effect quite strong in the EQS on the highest setting?@Rolf wanted to add, that the brakes are something to get used to. I sometimes had the impression I was putting my foot into fat clay or something. Truth to be told, you can regulate the intensity of braking, where the classic brakes aren’t used, but the car slows down and at the same time charges the battery.
Several levels of regeneration braking are available, Rolf. Only used one during my drive and it came over to me as rather harsh (the slowing down effect) therefore rather effective of course. It’s just a different way of driving, but I’m sure one gets the hang of it after some time and it’s becoming a challenge to regenerate the battery as far as possible and using the classic brakes as less as possible.I can imagine Mick it must take some getting used to not using the brake pedal at all to come to a full stop. Yes, I guess you have to take a bridge with you to see it like thisFrom some angles like above it looks really good!
It looks way better like this, with the lower parts painted. It somehow gives it some "optical weight" that is otherwise missing. Some cool new colors now also for the EQS
(Vintageblau, Cot d Azure blau, Rubelit, etc.)

but you know me…i would still go with Polarweiss (just because of the nostalgia to the W140/W124), an non-AMG package, colored skirts and 22” wheels

Yup, thats what I’m saying the whole timeIt looks way better like this, with the lower parts painted. It somehow gives it some "optical weight" that is otherwise missing.
trollAnyone still defending the i7? Which is more unique and future-proof?
Ok, let me give you my point over "why I like i7 over EQS" :Anyone still defending the i7? Which is more unique and future-proof?
