Hi I did on the weekend a nice trip of 300 miles in my E what a lovely car to drive I got a average of 62.8mpeg i really enjoyed the drive and the car was so good on the twisty roads I did for about 40 miles..

Love this car more and more. I think its about the longest I have kept any car and I don't even feel to change it as yet still looks and feels so fresh and new.
Great to hear! How many miles have you driven on your car so far, have you experienced any issues at all?

Almost 11 thousand miles..

As for issues touch wood none.
I did have to change brake pads but I didn't pay it was strange but my car was a X demo so I guess some people treated the car a bit heavy.

If I could change things I would change my centre console around the command knob to wood..

I find the door handle when sitting in your seat needs to be closer . The Navigation.. Media and radio Black buttons could have a better feel then they have..

Thanks map's take ages to upgrade although it doesn't hamper your trips as it works in background it takes ages..

I think you can order the wood panel now through the parts department, or you can order it online.

Yes those black buttons still feels a bit cheap to touch and press, not sure how that went through the approval process because they are clearly not up to the standard set by Audi.

Hey guys, this is my first post

I have the E200 Long Wheelbase in New Delhi, India (with Luxury Grill installed) for the past 7.5 months and it has given me so many problems that it has gone to the shop 8-9 times. After many issues, the very first issue is back, the rubber part in the rear armrest has again fallen in. Image is attached. While the dealer replaced the entire armrest 6 months ago when this first happened, it took them two months to order this and I am afraid they will take another two months! The car has spent over 30 days in the shop! It is amazing how many problems have happened with the car. So far, the rear armrest has been changed (looks like it needs to be changed again), the rear seat has been removed and placed again 3 times, front passenger seat frame changed, driver seat frame needs to be changed, bushes changed, entire COMAND unit replaced etc. The image with the pen is from 6 months ago, the other image is today's.

Please see the attached and advise how this can be fixed easily without another painful trip to the shop (It just came back under 2 days ago)

Overall issues:
Rear Armrest centre rubber portion falled in (armrest replaced, now again same issue)
Android Auto does not connect even though phone shows connected (keeps happening, now COMAND unit replaced)
Internet doesn’t connect (now fixed)
Comand system doesn’t work at all (now fixed)...
What is final production and assembly point for your vehicle?

Interesting, even the 4 cylinder powered E 350 can rush from 0-60 in under 6 sec. That is more than fast enough. The extra power from the E 450 doesn't translate to a faster 0-60 time.

I hate Mercedes some times. Why would you keep tinkering with the V6 when the I6 from the CLS450 is ready for use? Ok, whatever. They better at least do the right thing and push the E53 Sedan for 2019.

Staged rollout? Surplus engine blocks? Who bloody knows with these guys sometimes.

The only explanation I can think of is that this is more complicated than a straight engine swap, the 48v electrical system, the electric motor/generator also needed to be installed in the car as well.

An E53 W213 would be an sleeper/enthusiast's delight methinks. Cheaper and more lowkey than the CLS & GT53.

With the way MB operates, it may not roll out until the facelift in 2020... even then there'll be some catch.

Yeah but the refinement of the delivery and the engine note will probably be worlds apart between the 4 and V6.

Given MB's past history with the E class, they will roll out the new engine 1 year before the face lift to boost sales, has happened to the W211, W212.

Indeed, I have come to realize that after driving both cars for a while, the V6 delivers the power effortlessly, having said that with the new EQ boost assisting the engine from low revs, the power delivery should be smoother and more linear.

I have changed my car rear tires, originally they were 275/30/R20 run on flat, I increased the profile size to 275/35/R20 Nito.

The car is noticeably more comfortable, stability is almost the same, fuel consumption I'm guessing it will be slightly more, and I gained approximately 3 km/h in my speed indicator, originally there was a 3 km/h deviation from GPS speed, now they are exactly matching.

The car looks little bit higher from the back view, but that wont bother me and it is barely noticeable, never going back to run on flats with small profile.

I'm thinking to also change my front tires from 245/35/R20 to 245/40/R20, not sure how the car will look and if it will fit.
