This E-Class only redeemed itself at facelift time. Pre-facelift was a mess in looks and ride also. Still my least favorite E since I've been paying attention to cars, since the W124.

I prefer this 4 light version of the W212 to the FL model and especially in this E63 AMG trim it looks great. That 6.2 NA V8 is a really charming engine with a fantastic sound and very responsive.
Agreed, the pre facelift w212 looks much better, more aggressive.I prefer this 4 light version of the W212 to the FL model and especially in this E63 AMG trim it looks great. That 6.2 NA V8 is a really charming engine with a fantastic sound and very responsive.
The FL was a confused car. Hard lined car shape mixed with soft shaped lights. Not my cup of tea.I prefer this 4 light version of the W212 to the FL model and especially in this E63 AMG trim it looks great. That 6.2 NA V8 is a really charming engine with a fantastic sound and very responsive.
The E500 looked like the pick of the range with it's bahn storming 300kw V8.
Merc should really consider a V8 Non-AMG for the W214, it would work! The E500 looked like the pick of the range with it's bahn storming 300kw V8.

The perfect sleeper car. A 360kw (489PS) E500 V8 would do very well to fill the gap with the E450 (280kw) and E53 (430kw).Merc should really consider a V8 Non-AMG for the W214, it would work!![]()
