Mercedes E500 in Spanje - ABHD auto video’s

Thank you for posting this the car looks siiiiiicccckkk. I'm sold the new E is the bomb and just went to the dealer the other day and they have like a bunch of them already and the moment I saw it I was blown away by it's presence.

But It has to be Avantgarde or the AMG package because Elegance looks like chinese crap with those stupid duoble foglights.

Pretty near the place where lives a friend here in Spain. The car looks stunning, it´s just one of the best combos I´ve seen on it, Avantgarde and black, with that interior, looks incredibly good, miles away from that ugly Elegance in champagne colour of other tests.

If I could only change a few things on the car they test (or cars, because sometimes it´s a E 350 CGI), I would change the interior roof, and put it in black, that is cleanner, and the steering wheel, I like better the 3 spoke squared one.

You can't believe what I've seen in Hamburg yesterday!! Right, the new E-Class W212!!

Sadly, and I could kill myself: I haven't my camera with me!! DAMN!!!

It was a Elegance E 220 CDI!! Still diesels like any 220 CDI! Well, the design. In front of it a Flying Spur was driving down the road. The traffic stopped, so I had time (and time to take photos: DAMN!) to look at it.

It is definitely a Mercedes - at the first look. The LEDs in the front look for some reason cheap…the whole car is well designed, but I'm definitely no fan of it.
The proportions are not bad, especially the roof line is great. But in my opinion there is nothing special about the design. For some reasoin the car is boring. And in my opinion after seeing 20 or 30 W212 - it is nothing more then a new E-Class.

I really miss the passion the W124 or W211 have…

The E 220 CDI interior was in leather and bright colour. Looks not bad, but overall, the W211 is the "better" designed car…in my very own opinion!!

^^it's all good, we've all those days where we should have had a camera. I was on the bay bridge chasing an LP640 in a tunnel. Didn't have a camera, was kinda pissed.

Completely in agreement!

it is nothing more then a new E-Class.

And that is the purpose of the new design. Bare in mind that the E-Class is one of Mercedes' best sellers and it is aimed at highly conservative people. Besides that the design has to last for many years without getting out of fashion like Bimmers do.

Yeah you're right. But I really miss the timeless elegance, the "Wow-Effect" - like I had when I saw the W211 first and that I still have, when I see this car. :usa7uh:

I'm pretty sure that when u see a lot on the road will start to appreciate it's design greatly,i already love the design and can't wait to see it rolling here:D

I've seen the W212 E-Class on the road three times now (Last time was yesterday! Couldn't get a shot...) and trust me, the "wow-effect" is there. The car stands out in traffic through its sleek, elegant, dynamic and yet modern styling. Also, it looks like an E-Class. Remove the rims and the star from the hood and the unmistakably E-Class-look is still there thanks to the four-eyed headlight design, which has become an E-Class trademark.

And today as I was walking home from school, I saw a silver W211 E-Class Avantgarde speed by very gracefully. It made me think. It's still a beautiful car, elegant and of course conservative. The new E-Class basically retains these similar characteristics, but also adds a desperately needed "modern touch" to it. Remember, in visual comparisons against the Audi A6, BMW 5er and Lexus GS, the E-Class and I suppose the Infiniti M always looked a bit "un-modern". The W212 addresses this problem and it does it well in my opinion.

Seeing the car on the road helps a lot to shape an opinion.

That's how it works usually. After you repeatedly see a car in sunlight, you see and appreciate subtle details and the design grows on you. That is what happened to me with the 6-series. :t-cheers:

It definitely looks best with AMG-sportpackage!! And the 18' rims are a must have option…

This one is also great:

and @ Vivaki: Fixed the photos with imageshack for you! :)
