E-Class (W212/C207/A207) [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe (C207)

The Mercedes-Benz W212 is the fourth generation of the E-Class range. It is the successor to the W211 E-Class. Body styles: four-door sedan/saloon (W212) and five-door estate/wagon (S212). Coupé and convertible models of the W212 E-Class generation are W204 C-Class based and known as the C207 and A207, replacing the CLK-Class (C209 and A209) coupé and cabriolet. Production: March 2009 – January 2016 (sedan), December 2009 – May 2016 (station wagon).
:0vr: thanks for all the new photos guys.
It does look great in white. I just hope the interior looks better
with some different trims and colors.

Time for a separate picture thread? ;)

Does anybody have information about the transmission choices for the engines? In the press release it says that E 250 CGI comes with the 5-spd auto as standard. As this is based on the W204 C-Class mechanicals, there probably isn't steering column shifter even in the top models (e.g. E 500)?

EDIT:

Vivaki, NetCarShow doesn't allow image hotlinking. They only let you post a 640x480 version of the image with the NetCarShow watermark. To do this you need to copy the link highlighted in red above the picture. It looks like this:

E 250 CDI BlueEfficiency Coupé: €44,684.50
E 350 CDI BlueEfficiency Coupé: €48,671.00

E 350 CGI BlueEfficiency Coupé: €51.408.00
E 500 Coupé: €66,045.00

It does look very good. I don't know why some are complaining about the interior; the "luxurious feel" in this case is dependent on the color/material combination, IMO.

What I find interesting is that there are two conflicting reports regarding the car donor platform (C vs E).

According to E-Class Coupe's specification, its wheelbase is 2760mm,just the same length with C-Class(W204).So we can judge the E-Class Coupe(C207) is built on the C-Class(W204)'s platform, its direct competitors are still BMW 3er coupe and Audi A5, is it right?

Very mixed feelings on that one. I like the overall shape, I love the front (nice LEDs indicators BTW) and rear.

But it does look heavy sometimes, from the side especially. And I find the doors should've been longer, making them appear less tall...

And of course, the silly ugly third windows... Sure you don't notice them in low-res pics from far, but IRL this is gonna jump at your eyes, especially given the black gloss masking the glue, reducing the transparent area so that is is no in line with the other windows... and the incredible thickness of the pillar...

I still can't believe they made it.:t-banghea

I love how MB is bragging about the "pillarless windows" and "fully retractable side windows" in the press release, completely untrue and with an ugly solution... They'd better shut up about that f*cked-up design piece...

Maybe I'll change my mind IRL...

The interior's very nice on the other hand, I really like it. Like the brown colour, too.
And the four seats are just gorgeous.

The price seems a bit excessive, but it's also a way of marketing it as "more" than A5 and e92 (are the price differences of 8-10.000€ given with comparable motors/equipments?).

Most aeodynamic car in the world? Now that's impressive!:usa7uh:

Anyone know for sure what the displacement of the 250 CGI 4 cylinder DI engine is?

Very significant engine this because it marks the beginning of the end for the last of the Kompressor engines in the Merc stable.

This car is fabolous!! LOVE it, but I wouldn't know if I would prefer an E92 335d over this! Still love the design of the BMW, it looks more sporty and I'm a fan of the interior (especially without i-Drive)!

I definitely have to see the C207 in reality!! But the pictures, shown here, definitely "say": This car is a stunner!!

Very significant engine this because it marks the beginning of the end for the last of the Kompressor engines in the Merc stable.

It's the same engine as in the W212 E 250 CGI. :usa7uh: 1,796 cc / Turbo / 150 kW / 310 Nm.

Vivaki posted the specs here :t-cheers::
