So this must be a preview of the CLA... Not bad!
Hope so..let's pray
Stared for some time for this and the photo from the Hungarian factory and the details mainly match with this not with the rendering from Autobild
So this must be a preview of the CLA... Not bad!
I agree, not much will change, but the engine will be tranversly mounted.I'm not sure about the Audi, that looks production ready except for the mirrors and what not. The proportions are perfect and I don't think they will change at all on the Audi. That is pretty much the A4 from a generation ago in size and proportions.

If the styling is not significantly diluted and Mercedes can keep the prices sensible, I can easily see this thing killing everything in its segment.
I'm loving those headlights....
Billed as a junior CLS, the CLA will sit below the existing C-class sedan in price and features in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. However, the Concept Style Coupe car hints that Mercedes' entry-level sedan will be 1.9 inches longer, a considerable 4.8 inches wider and—thanks to its swoopy turret—some 1.9 inches lower than its long-established four-door stablemate.

As a result of the CLA's introduction, the next generation C-class, known internally under the code name W205, is set to retain standard rear-wheel drive and will grow in size, increasing in length and width but retaining much the same height.
Among the CLA's premium-brand four-door rivals will be a sedan version of the third-generation Audi A3 also due out in 2013 and a secret new sedan version of the BMW 1-series that is undergoing conceptual development with a view for introduction in 2015.
You know what I wish, after looking at that video?
That the CLS would have been a properly sized and RWD version (same as the real thing in this aspect) of THIS! It's kind of everything I wanted from it. I wish they could implement the refinement of the fussy lined dropping-line look from this baby.
Do that, and give me an extra inch of headroom so I can fit inside of it, and you've got a big picture dream car.

These official measurements also make it 13.6 inches shorter, the same width and 1.4 inches lower than the new A-class—a car with which the CLA shares its platform, chassis and driveline architecture.
Something is amiss here. On one hand, the vision is 1.9 inches longer than the current C, but on the other is 13.6 inches shorter than the A?
