CLS [Official] Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG

The Mercedes-Benz CLS (initially called the CLS-Class) is a series of executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from December 2003 to August 2023. The original model was a four-door sedan based on the Mercedes E-Class platform, marketed as a four door coupé. An estate (shooting brake) model was later added to the model range with the second generation CLS.

Has the current generation been forgotten by the market because I rarely see them on the road.

Sales are rather poor, at least in the U.S. and I think it is due to the lackluster design. The 6er GC and the A7 just look better in most cases and that is what these cars are about in this segment. The next generation CLS and SL need to be knockouts.

I love the way the CLS facelift drives, steering is light as with all new Mercedes I've driven, but it just glides effortlessly. I quite like the facelift design as well.

Same here. I finally saw the CLS63 f/l in the metal, looked great. Better in the metal than in photos actually.

I'd say challenging design rather than lackluster. The Gran Coupe and A7 are effortlessly good looking like the original CLS; this generation, especially as the years go on, seems forced. The competitors used the formula of the W219 with great success.

In the NYC area MB dealers are offering aggressive deals on the CLS400, which was introduced for MY2015 due to stagnating sales.

Does this mean it's time for a heavey discount on a CLS 550 at MB of Manhattan? :D

You can step up and get a sweet deal on a leftover 2015 CLS63 for not much more, then send it to Renntech for a 700hp tune. ;)

Have you been to the new Manhattan Motorcars showroom on 54th? Very impressive but MB Manhattan is still the nicest.

Nah, my wallet can't afford an AMG, especially after the warranty is up. But that does sound tempting :D.

Didn't know Manhattan Motorcars is moving. I passby their 28th and 11th location whenever I walk over to the high line. They had two 918 sitting up front.

I'm sad to see this car go. It's an exciting design that shows that 4 door saloons do not have to be boring and predictable in their appearance.
