For me, a reoccuring realisation that the IMHO nondescript, "flat" surfacing of the wheelarch metal is my biggest beef about the G60/61. All the more so as this element is done so well on the G70 7er.

Biggest visual difference seems to be the hood being less sloped on the LCI. The front of the facelift must have been raised to come to this result, and it avoids the comparison with an FWD 1er now.

Or am I imagining things?

As with the i3, the front lights will be positioned lower than the hood level, making the bulging front end appear more proportionate through a design trick.

Proportions are different. Just imagine them without lights altogether.

You can't change sheet metal parts in a facelift. You can update the hood or trunk lid, but lowering the front is impossible. If the fender panels are changed, the engine placement, front axle, and everything connected to it would have to be redesigned. Companies don't do that.

I wrote above that the hood could be changed. In the G11 facelift, the middle section of the hood was raised and the headlights were made thinner. This made the front look more bulging. The side panels remained the same. So my logic didn't fail me, your arrogance was defeated.

Addition: As a Türk, I'm sure I have bigger hands than your delicate hands.

The side front Panels are not the same. The beltline is now going through to the headlamps. The Hood shutline changed also.
