I'm pretty sure this is the first MB to have its reverse lights near the license plate??

It's normally American and Japanese cars that do that.

Looks fantastic.
I was here to say something nasty again, but I can't find the words, since everything is just beautiful. That AMG version looks seriosly off the charts.....did BMW perhaps design it? j/k ;)

i can say something nasty for you.

the placement of reverse light next to the license plate is just down right ugly. ruins the whole rear.

I agree. It looks stupid and I can't fathom why they did it. :t-crazy2:

But I could live with it given how gorgeous the rest of the car is. :D

Holy!! Looks fantastic as V12!! :bowdown:

best looking Coupé of the german brand on the market!!

Looks fantastic, but so did it pre-FL. The most benefits are for the non-AMG klitted CL, which now looks more substantial. However, I would've wished different taillights, they're still the weakpoint of the car. I don't really get why they didn't do more to them given that they placed the reverse lights elsewhere and changed the lower part of the bootlid.

Speaking of the reverse lights, it's a surprising solution, unusual for Mercedes. But it's absolutely not "visible", I mean, the eye does not stop on those lights and it doesn't look odd. In fact, I am quite indifferent to those reverse lights, they are here without really being here, I mean.. I expected it to be shocking, to be "new", but no, in fact I barely notice them. Odd.

Same for the new headlmap, I feel it's quite unecessary. They look good, but looked good before too. The new bonnet is stunning, as is the new, powerful grille.

I couldn't be bothered by the front fender, it looks better without it. They had to alter the front side panel, because the whole front has been lifted up to comply with the EU pedestrian regulations, so they chose to change the design while they were at it instead of just adding a few mm in height.

Fantastic car, really.

Very very impressive car.The facelift has been done exceptionally well i must say i am very impressed especially the regular model looks very fresh with the minor changes.i actually think the rear looks better now with the new designed rear light and the reverseing lights next to the number plate.I would like to see that in real to make a final judgement.

As for the AMG:icondrool:icondrool:bowdown::bowdown:

Wow! Beautiful.

I do like it better with the fender arch, just works better, doesn't make as much sense without it.

Also, indeed, they could have spruced up the rear lights more.

That aside, can't find many faults, a prime auto.

Oh yes! I´m glad, the CL still looks great.
The loss of the front fenders... why not. Makes the car looking wider.
I´m not so happy with the little dent on top of the front lights, but luckily the LEDs are quite ok.
But the rear lights, the one thing i did not really like on my old (:D) CL..., well i have to see it irl. Though i liked the pre fl standard CL, i like now the non AMG model very much.

@ree
How did you get into the configurator? I have only black on a black background = nothing.

Wow..thats a stunning coupe..love teh LED treatment.. it sits fatter on the road than the old one.. just lovely:)

the front simply looks sublime, but i am still bothered by the rear light.

i do miss the front fender tho.

The new headlights aren't as bad as i thought but i still prefer the pre fl ones. And man MB knows how to make good pr pics.

Don´t be too enthusiastic... the colours for the designos look very different irl, but nice to view and play with ;)

But 435hp and 4.9 to 100 for the 500! Great! If i have to choose now, i would go for the 4matic, regardless the 250 limit.
:usa7uh:

I love it, especially the AMG's with their one bar grilles!!!!
