For those wishing for an Inline 6, I believe that application might be too long of an engine to fit in the W206.
You could probably squeeze a V6 in because the deck is shorter as seen in the previous generation.

Not happening. There will be a point where a C-class will weigh as much as W140 S-class; if that point hasn't been reached already.

Actually, the new C63 AMG will not weigh as much as some believe.
According to the latest report from Motor1.com, the new M139 powered C63 is said to tip the scale at 4409lbs (2000kg)
The 2022 E63s weighs in at 4497lbs (2039kg) for example. The new C63 is packing more heat than its big brother though. That 10-seconds of E-boost will make it very quick.

That's pretty heavy for a compact-exec sedan though. 4-500lbs heavier than the outgoing C63 sedan.

Well, this new one is packing 4-Matic Plus, 4-Wheel steering, E-Turbo with start generator, and an E-Motor.
The current has none of these features.
