I sat in a new C220d AMG last week and have the same comments as you on the interior. When you first get inside and look at the interior it looks fantastic and the seats are very comfortable but when you start touching the different parts in the car, there are certain items that feel cheap and are a major disappointment.Sat in one of these today while at the dealer. The interior definitely has been cheapened but it's hard to tell at first glance because of all the "exciting" designs and material choices in the upper dashboard. Shame about the lower part of the interior. The exterior looks absolutely fantastic. My favorite exterior in the class if I have to be honest.
