Lovely car, addictive sound, less hardcore than the C63 S, for me the perfect AMG for every day use...
100% agree with you, the car is fast enough as well. So far I have driven the GLC 43 and the GLE 43, haven't driven the C43 yet, probably will be too tempted to trade up.

Absolutely fast enough. Before driving the C43, I didn't understand AMG-Mercedes to bring this to market alongside the C63/C63 s. Now I do.

Getting very tempted by the 43 - nice pics. What's the little radar style graphic in the console display in pic1 .. (I'm guessing G-meter)?

Seem like it. I agree, the 43 are actually surprisingly sporty to drive and the exhaust note sounds very aggressive. Price is at close to $110k AUD drive away though.

You can get a 340i for about $90k. I reckon you'll get a C43 for about $100k.

Yup.. better than getting tempted by the 63 however. I'd love to splurge on the V8 (especially if they bring out that 9 speed) but I suspect common sense will reign me back in. With our road rules it's difficult to justify going for the 63 in Australia when considering performance difference between the two AMGs.

My dealer can do a price close to $100k for 2017 built cars, would be nice to have one but considering I barely get out of 3000 rpm during normal driving, I can't really use the extra performance.

Exactly, even the 43 has more than enough performance to exceed the speed limits and various restrictions.

Btw how is everyone going with their W205 so far?

The last year has been trouble-free for me. The 250 diesel has been humming along nicely and averaging close to 1000km in mixed city driving. No mechanical problems, but door rubbers are a different story. They're starting to get incredibly noisy. Lots of cracks, squeaks, rattles. I can get it to shut up if I put some lubricant on them. Apparently it's a known issue and there's some new door seals out to address the problem (haven't confirmed with dealer yet; waiting until my B service).

Only had mine for about 7 months, have the odd creaking sound from the front left suspension. I think the rear door on the driver side squeaks a little as well. Let me know if you receive more info about the door rubbers. Btw when was your car built?

Yes, it is. Funny little gadget that makes cornering and accellerating even more impressive.

Is the interior of the AMG also filled with cheap hard plastics like the regular C class?

Absolutely fast enough. Before driving the C43, I didn't understand AMG-Mercedes to bring this to market alongside the C63/C63 s. Now I do.

It's no rocket science really. Audi has been doing it for decades with the S models and RS models.

Yes Klier the interior is made with the cheapest hard plastic MB could source. I've heard they had hard time finding the cheapest supplier.

Not everywhere, but it's in a lot of places. Like, the whole tunnel, and the sides of the dash. And those are close to the only places I tested. Not a good thing at all.

They probably simply called their Renault friends for the hard cheap plastics. So not really a hard time finding cheap suppliers.

You would think but that's not the real story. Took them over an year to find the cheapest supplier. Their innovative fart test was the decision maker. Basically they tested the parts against human fart in a closed chamber and the supplier whose part cracked due to the pressure difference won the contract. Just MB thing!

Not if you option it with the wood trim and artico dash top and door top.

The wood/lack thereof isn't my problem, and the quality of the plastic of the dash top/doors is perfectly fine. It's the hard plastics in the lower parts that really bother me. It's exactly like a 3er where GCF has been saying it's so much better than the 3er material wise.

It's not. They're pretty much dead equal.
Audi's A4 has this sorted better than both.

Sounds very MB like, true.

I stand corrected.
