C-Class (W205) [Official] Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205)

The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which was produced by Daimler AG between 2014 and 2021. The W205 C-Class was preceded by the W204 C-Class and superseded by the W206 C-Class. The fourth-generation C-Class was available in sedan (W205), station wagon/estate (S205), coupe (C205), cabriolet (A205) and long-wheelbase sedan (V205) body styles.
I forgot to mention, I'm probably going with the Designo Mystic Blue exterior. Had anyone seen it in person? I'm waiting for word on the S, as soon as I get any info, I'll be sure to pass it on.

Yep, W205! The Macan is now off the table. Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous, and I'm sure it will be an amazing performer, but Porsche dropped the ball, offering options that would open up later in the life cycle that weren't available at launch and showing off those options on the press cars. When I placed my order, I was told I'd have it by the end of the year, then, that changed to MAYBE February of 2015.

What options were not available?

PDCC, Sport Exhaust, Sapphire Blue Metallic, Black Window Trim, and a couple others. If your order was one of the first ones out the door, you couldn't get any of them. Some of these become available for cars being built after October 2014, while others won't become available until even later. Allocations for the Macan are few and far in-between. Many dealers have already fulfilled their spots, the problem is that they don't have build dates for them. I was told MAYBE Feb 2015 build, with a April-May delivery. That's when I said screw it.

^ @ first glance i thought it was the s class.
nevertheless, good looking car, imo looks best in its class compared to previous generations.

I have a small dilemma...

Why is this topic still called 2015 Mercedes C-Class , if since February you can buy one,and there are so many already on the streets...

2015 refers to the "model year" and not the calendar year the cars were built in. Agreed, it can be a bit confusing. :)

Legend Wolf!

Have you come across any 'Brilliant Blue' photos as yet? I believe it's a new colour for the W205 C?

Yes, brilliant blue metallic is new, with code 896. The pic Amat46 just posted above may already have that color. Production starts this week. :)

Thank you. Looks very similar to canvansite blue, which is also an option on the C. It looked much brighter on the German configurator.

Because some people missed the math classes :D

February isn't MY15 afaik... MY should come later on like July or August. Don't know how's it with Benz but I'm sure Feb is still MY14
it's stooooopid

^ Agreed. Usually new model years start in July or August. But with new models they sometimes start earlier. :)

MB designates a new model year with an order code like "805", with the "5" representing 2015.

The C Class W205 configurator is online at the Mercedes.co.uk and what caught my attention was the emissions rating of just 124 grams of CO2 per km of the C200.

The C200 is in the band D of road tax, which means that it's exempt of road tax for the first year. After the first year, however, there is an standard rate of £105, but I know of no other petrol powered car in this class that's free of road tax for the first year.

And it's not like Mercedes skimped on performance because the C200 will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds and with a combined fuel mileage of 52 Mpg it's quite economical as well.

I Noticed the same. The specs are very good for UK models, lots of kit standard. Even more impressive are the premium and premium plus packages, unbelievable value. The only thing I didn't get is that you can't get black ash wood with auto transmission though I'm sure the press pics show the black ash wood with the auto transmission :s

Thank you. You may have to add the Audio 20 with Touchpad or the COMAND in addition to the AMG Line. The configurator on mercedes-benz.de seems to have the same glitch at present.. :)

My first post :)

2015 Mercedes Benz C400 0-60 MPH

0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds or around 5 seconds flat for 0-100 km/h seems about right.

The C400 will be about as fast as the current Audi S4 - beloved of American car testers in particular, as their compact luxury sedan, sports driving 'champ'.

So the C-Class with its much higher luxury feel, and at-least equal perfomance level in the C400 model, will make life hard for the aging A4 and even 335i/iX. and to think first drive reports of many US testers wrote the C400 off as 'feeling slow'. Four and a half secsonds to 60 is slow? They obviously knew how good it was and tried to downplay it so as to give the appearance of the compact luxury sedan class being tight - which it plainly is not with the arrival of the new C-Class, C400 in particular - a simply knockout car.
