205.087 C 63 AMG PP w/ 7G-MCT

Power is presently rumored to be 476 hp and 510 hp but the EPC doesn't have any engine info yet. :)

Thanks Wolf. I'm going to keep my eye out on the C63. I really love the new design and interior. Since my father is ordering a nice ML for himself, I can get myself something nice to play with. Calling my nearest dealer ASAP!

I'd bet that the C63 will be shown in August and displayed at the Paris auto show in Sept. I hope they have revised the gearbox, arguably the only weak link the current C63.

M

The MCT isn't horrible, Mercedes just needs to get it's programming right. The new C63 will also use the MCT, but I've heard it's been revised. I'm looking forward to it. I'm first in line for this, since Porsche decided to hold off on certain specs, and my scheduled delivery was Feb 2015....

Supposedly the box 7G-MCt has a considerable potential still in itself.

Latest rumors from MB Passion confirm 510 hp and NO 4MATIC for the tail happy C 63 AMG S Model. :)

BUT, another C-Class AMG may be in the pipeline, which may offer 4MATIC in LHD and RHD: The C 450 AMG 4MATIC.

Interesting! Would that mean something like M135i? Not a real M but close to it?

Suspect we'll hear more about pricing for the USA in the fall.

The C 450 AMG SPORT 4MATIC might sit halfway between the regular and AMG models, maybe with an "Engineered by AMG" badge known from the A 250 SPORT and CLA 250 SPORT?
An GLC 450 SPORT AMG 4MATIC GLK Coupe might also be in the pipeline for about 2016 according to some MB Passion rumors. :)

Lastly the C 63 AMG S-Model might receive 4MATIC not from the start, but maybe lateron.

I'm sure it does. The box is quick, tuning was off. If Race bikes and F1 cars can use it, why can't Mercedes?

That's GREAT news AND disappointing news at the same time. Is Mercedes going to milk the AMG Badge like BMW has started doing with the M Performance line with the likes of the M135i and M235i, or will it be just a Normal C450 with AMG aesthetics? This version of the C63 should close the gap of handling even further between its main rival, the M3.

One other question, since the S is going to demand a higher price tag, will it get more standard features? I hope Xenons come standard this time around, and the wheels aren't anemic 255's. With 510 Horsepower, you need some nice fat tires like 275's or 285's in the back.

Apple to announce 'iOS in the Car' tie up with Ferrari, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz next week

A C 450 AMG would confuse things. To start, the C 63 is going to be a 4 Liter engine, so is closer to the C 450 designation. Further, there is the 45 line of AMG, which is the 2L. Is the 450 going to have a 2L 4cyl engine? In this case we will have a situation like the S Class, where there are two distinct AMG models, the 63 and the 65. But only the cylinder difference is consistent between the two models - 4 cylinders. If AMG sees it fit to bring a C 450 AMG with an engine that comes in a $60k CLA, then you can bet your bottom dollar the C63 will be very expensive, $100k.

Does this mean customers who want their phone to work with their cars are forced to get an Apple product too?

Not necessarily. Although Mercedes-Benz was not initially part of Google's Open Automotive Alliance, it appears that support for Android will also arrive to all models globally. See this article by Engadget:

Google's 'Projected Mode' in-car system possibly leaked by Mercedes-Benz

It is pretty disgusting practice if that is the case.

The Apple CarPlay allows iPhones users to replace the standard car interface with the iOS interface - in other words, it's for people who already own an iPhone. It doesn't prevent non-iPhone users from syncing their phones with the car. Of course, an Android or Windows phone user will have to use the car maker's interface or an CarPlay equivalent from Google or Microsoft; they won't be able to run the iOS interface but since when can Android or Windows phone users run iOS on their phones. An iOS user can't run Android or Windows on their phones and vice versa.
