You guys must all have Friday cars. I use mine quite often just for the hell of it, and has only once not recognised the space. I even use it to get me out, just for the hell of it (got to love the way it spears you into the lane!)

I don't know about a Friday car, I think the guy who built mine was going on holiday straight after work lol

So, ive just clicked over 5000kms and i thought id give sports mode a go for the first time. I hadnt come to a complete stop and was still slightly rolling when i engaged sports mode, the red S came up on the dash and nothing much happened after that. After i had come to a complete stop at the next set of lights, did it engage. I knew straight away i was in sports mode then. Took off like a rocket. Now i know y they call it heroine mode. lol.. Not sure if this delay in engaging is normal or not. Im going to experiment a bit more tomorrow and see what happens.

Awesome, but it will only display in MPH...for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to change it to KPH..anyone's?

I believe that's a software bug that's been around for a while, I don't think there's a fix for it yet

Anyone get any free touch-up paint with their cars?

Wondering ifs its better to get some from Merc or get it made up?

I had the unfortunate happen to me yesterday - I scratched the underneath of the front lip on a high curb.. grrrrrr

I did and have used it to repair a couple stone chips. The finish was perfect. I've used made up touch-up paint on previously owned Hondas and it's good but not as good as the MB paint. It's not cheap but absolutely worth it.

The change is instant between the modes. Your right foot makes the difference.

I believe that's a software bug that's been around for a while, I don't think there's a fix for it yet

I had mine serviced last week when the software would have been updated, but still only MPH selectable, no KPH which is pretty stupid

Yes after my gearbox and engine software updates, it is instant, the moment I select 'S' , the revs just rise, that wasn't happening before. Very different car now, mine is a GLA 250 4matic, but I guess we are all the same

it sounds like mine behaves how yours used to, NTT.. I can select 'S' and it will continue in 'E' until i put my foot into it, and then it goes into 'S' and stays there until i select 'E'.. Mine goes in for service early next year, so i might get htem to update the software on the box then.

Just went and picked one up. As you said, it works flawlessly and the detail of the music certainly improves over bluetooth. I am so looking forward to Carplay, IF it ever arrives.

Can anyone confirm if Spotify album art appears if connected via the lightning cable. Does the 30pin-lightning have to be genuine or ebay quality will suffice

Yes to the album art, it doesn't fill the whole screen (mine is MY13) not sure if this is normal or if theres a way to display the cover filling the entire screen. I have a genuine 30pin -> lightning so can't comment on whether a 3rd party one will work.

Hallo everybody!!! Been gone for a while now! Just for an update my250 now stands on 32000ks and I'm still loving it, gonna ask for the update at the next service and I won't stop till I get it, sometimes I think the people at our dealerships are just plain ignorant to what we want!! I also installed an extra amp and sub woofer, as I noticed the bass completely fades away on high volume, not anymore!!!! Loving it more than ever now!!

So the day arrived when I went to pick up my dad's new C200. Given this is an A forum, i think a quick comparison is in need. First off, this thing has pretty much every box ticked on it, I was a little worried that the AMG kit would render the ride a little to harsh. I was wrong. It's great, much better than my A250. The interior is like a A-class that got an upgrade to business class. Everything is there, but just better and more refined. Perhaps its that my A is about a year old and this shiny new thing is tugging at the heart strings - but dang, its an impressive leap. The power of the C200 is 135kW which is mapped quite nicely and shows enough grunt down low to match most things off the mark. As expected, it does run out of puff eventually. Overall i'm incredibly impressed and somewhat jealous. Perhaps I just found my future upgrade.

kaktus, not sure of the front on the C class...also seems to sit a bit high on the road ... as distinct from the a250 which has a lovely street presence...

certainly agree about the c200 being a really well put together thing though, the quality of materials used and way put together definitely a cut up...

...though not sure I'd part wiht my a250 for one..

wonder what the c250 sport coupe ends up like though hehe

Just thought cos I've mentioned it before, I might as well share what it looks like, nothing too big but I like!! I also had a look at the new c class also loving it but I also gotta say I wouldn't be able to part with my 250!

I experienced something strange about two days ago, while driving to work on cruise control, car displayed message, pre safe system in operative, everything stopped working, my car just decided not to respond to any acceleration, had to pull off to the side, switch car off, started again and everything was fine... Has anyone else had this experience or similar?
