Nope mate as their is no place in the boot for the spare my car doesn't even have a jack or wheel spanner...i need to do something as I do long distance travels.

wow definitely clocking up the Ks fortuner !

I've only just crossed the 1000km mark. the engine definitely feels like loosening up :)

nice to read your impressions be interesting to see what end up doing re the spare.

How would you rate the quality of the plastics of the interior? The lower part of the dash and area between the seats is hard plastic correct?

Hi guys,
Well, after a very excruciating 7 month wait, i got my car!
Can't do a full report right now, as on my way back to the garage to play with settings, but had a 100km drive right after getting it, am in love!

Only pictures i managed to take was when i sneaked through my dealer and got into the "restricted" area where they were preparing my car for delivery... will take some more as soon as sun comes out!

New to forum, after reading about the latest version of Comand online in Australia I checked and found http://www.headlightmag.com/webboard2011/index.php?topic=29997.0
My dealer was a bit unsure but dug through his emails and confirmed the details of MY14 update.

I've ordered an A200CDI fully loaded with every option and with AMG sport package but lowered comfort suspension, I figure it will already handle good enough for me. I expect an August delivery for a June manufacture. Did seriously think about A250 but considering I originally was looking for a diesel car that would be economical I would leave the midlife crises wheels till my next purchase. Waiting will be a killer, I'm in Victoria in gippsland. Saw A250 ready for delivery today when I confirmed the Comand details

Ahhh, KD, you're killing me! That's my car!

Congrats mate, looking forward to some more pics and your thoughts ツ

Thermotronic - the a-class version like the other merc versions? like air quality detection etc?

My wife just saw your pictures Kd and is now pestering me to get the grey too. lol

@joyjas77 do you mind telling us what an A200CI fully loaded priced up to?

oh dont know what happened I typed a long post re bike racks on a250 ? anyone thinking what theyd do ? I used to use a neat 2 bike thule unit on my golf gti as had a tow bar.

http://www.thule.com.au/details.php?p_id=70&listid=2&slistid=&seo=Thule_970_Xpress_2_Bike

but no option for a tow bar on a250 so a bit lost. a previous car of mine I used a strap/clip on bracket to take our two bikes but the rear hatch on the a250 has the plastic spoiler thing on top so cant securely hook onto that.

any ideas guys ?

Kdcorp: What a stunner! Congrats! lets hear your thoughts on the new ride :)

Should I be getting a bit worried that I put in an order nearly a month ago, but still haven't gotten a firm date of delivery?

kaktusdigital I feel your pain. It has been 7 weeks since I place my order for an A200 CDI and I have not heard boo from my dealer. I sent them an email a couple of weeks ago and got the " I am terribly sorry but the factory is still yet to put in a production date". Hearing that you have a similar problem makes me a little more reassured that this is demand problem rather than a slack dealer.

I put in my order 2 months ago and i still dont have a confirmed date... I told off my salesman today... the fixed production runs for the June production hasn't been set yet.

demand must be getting the better of them !

guys we did a run a long drive into the country and hills today. one thing keeps coming back to me is just how nice the a250 is on longer distances. panoramic sun blind open can just sit back enjoy the drive. very smooth, comfortable unstressed. very pleased with fuel economy as well, even with a bit of stop start along the way and sitting on 80-100 km/h it averaged exactly 7.0 L/100km the entire distance :)

tested the dab+ digital radio tuner today to see how that went as left metropolitan melbourne. and have to say was rather suprised over 100km out from melbourne and we still had reception. at one point we were in a bit of a valley and had some drop out but the merc handles it very well. theres no squelches or odd noises or anything. it just mutes nicely when no signal and I think someone asks if it swaps to FM/AM ? no it just mutes. you can swap to any of the other bands at a touch of a button if you want. but we just left it do its thing :)

ps took a quick shot of the screen for dab+ digital radio, very thankfully great to see the merc actually ports through track and artist info from the broadcast :)

kaktusdigital I feel your pain. ..

I emailed my dealer asking what's up - and its the same response that they have yet to receive anything from mb hq. My biggest worry is that they've forgotten to put an order in. How funny would that be? o_O
Anyway, I'm sure the factories are churning them out as fast as they can. It's good that they implemented that 3rd shift as result of the influx of orders. I even heard that they were going to shift some production to a plant in Hungary? or perhaps that just B.S..
