by the way, once again, thanks for the speed cam file (sorry couldn't remember who made it). works perfect with 10 secs alert. but I had to leave my sd card in there to work.

The poor guy the car is still in Port Kembla (we are both brisbane based) Audi Melbourne won't release the car and have shut down till the sixth....Hopefully he gets it next week!!!

Could someone help me with finding the link for the speed camera warnings?
My dad should take delivery of his new S3 by the end of Jan 2014.
The terribly coarse bitumen on the Geelong Ring Road is disgraceful. Noisiest road I've ever driven on. Geelong people are very unhappy with it. Hopefully the Great Ocean Rd gets the promised upgrade with the new government. Can be very dangerous in places on my Triumph!
I haven't had any key pad, seat belt or sunroof rattles (so far )
I'm going to get them to look at my driver's front wing plastic shroud that catches on the door though. Doesn't bother me too much as I can push it back into position but it will wear away at the paint on the door though. I was showing the car off to a mate on the weekend and I opened the door only to be greeted by the grating noise! Terribly uncool.

I have just done another POI same as the previous one but with 15 second warning for Enforcement and school zones, 20 second warning for speed cams etc

You can actually open up the .gpx file with notepad and you will see what I mean.

and change it to 10 secs, I changed to 8 secs before, was too short, didn't have enough time to react. 10 is the perfect number for me. and that file is amazing, there is a new cam just installed 3 months ago not far from me, and was on that file already!!!!

Just drove up to Sydney, 880km trip, 6.4lt/100k average. From Goulburn to Sydney it was fantastic, managed to get 5.2lt/100k
Should be a lil closer to you alebonau by the time i get back!

We started out @ 7:15 from the south eastern subs and got to Sydney round 5. Had two small breaks in between but the real impressive thing was how well the car dealt with the heat. The temp in Melbourne was around 26C which then rose to 35C by the time we were in northern VIC. But much of the trip the temp monitor was sitting at 38-42C.
It was absolutely lovely to be inside the car and you wouldn't have a clue it was scorching outside. Once again, very impressed...

The amount of bugs though was a concern, now it looks like someone's thrown up on the bonnet.

That's impressive mileage! I was getting a little concerned. I have got at best to date around mid 6's l/100km when travelling to Melbourne from Gippsland. I want to break into the 5's if possible. I was beginning to think I'd have to have the AC off but you've proved me wrong.

took my car to great ocean road yesterday, seat belt was fine, but keypad and air con area rattles and had this clicking sound, only happened in geelong area on the way there and on the way back, on other roads are very quiet. so not sure if I should get it checked, or geelong should fix their roads.

Mine had 30k's on the clock but they had to get it tinted and test drive etc. looks like it had 3 before they got it as that's the difference between total k's and the other number on odometer

Some creaks seem to settle down. Sit in and move around all the seats. I had some noises coming from the back which was the leather rubbing that settled down when you break the areas where the leather seems to stick together.

Help! I cannot get this to work. When I follow the instructions it doesn't seem to import anything. Do I need to do something to the file to convert it to a gpx file? I also have all my music on the SD card in folder called MUSIC...

Did you change the file to a differen format?? It should be in gpx format already. Did you download the original file? Or have you changed timing. If you changed timing make sure it's still in gpx file. It takes a few mins to import.

Annoyed!!!

I spoke to my dealer on Monday about my pending delivery on Tuesday. The car was supposed to be delivered to the dealer on Monday and I told him not to rush getting the car ready and I was willing to wait until Thursday to get my car registered in the new year and I would pick it up then. He said that wouldn't be a problem.

I received an email from the manager at 5:15 Tuesday night saying that my car still hasn't passed customs and probably won't be delivered before the end of next week. When I spoke to the dealer on Monday there was no mention that my car hadn't even turned up....
I know something's are out of the dealerships hands but I am so disappointed with the communication level I'm receiving from this dealership.

Mine seemed to import very quickly, I left file unchanged from original downloaded from here. You could have a quick look in GPS for a place you know there is a fixed camera and see if it shows up

Considering you were on the phone with him on Monday that's pretty poor. You would assume he would know it wasn't going to arrive. But when my dealer was expecting my car and a few others he told me that over two days the would be receiving cars but didn't know which cars would be on what truck. As a whole most dealers feedback is pretty poor from the posts I see on here. I personally alerted my dealer to my initial order being delayed due to Sports body kit option, it took two visits first visit I was told mine should be fine second visit they started checking their emails and they had a lot with no sort of filtering system to sort them out. But we found MB email. When the pano roof delays started my dealer was already prepped for my visit and found email quickly showing me that mine wasn't going to be delayed.

I think dealers are actually preoccupied with taking new orders rather than actually following up on sales they've 'already made'. Once your order has been lodged in the system they are very unlikely to go back and check on it's progress until you contact them.

Have you ordered GLA yet? I'm thinking of put deposit on the GLA 45. Dealer told me if I order now I will have a good chance to take delivery in late August

I'm in Victoria and my dealer wouldn't put them on because of an official MB edict not to as they interfere with the parking sensors. I have seen A Classes in Melbourne with full size Euro plates, though. I am going to write to MB and ask them for more information.

I have full size Euro plates which are also mounted on Lakin plate brackets and covers - no issues with the front sensors.
