Maybe they are there due to the Long version. The normal wheel base may not require those. What gets me even more is the MASSIVE expanse of hard plastic between the rear doors and rear seatbacks. WOW.
Very nice color, great for young people. I love it.![]()

Auto China 2018: Blick auf die A Klasse L Limousine - Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog / Mercedes Benz, smart, Maybach, AMG
Is the A-class seriously used as a chauffeurs car in china?![]()
The A-class long-wheelbase sedan was developed in China specifically for the Chinese market where wealthier individuals are driven by chauffeurs. Photo credit: REUTERS / Autonews
MB can’t do small cars and are worse at designing rear lights across their ranges. GLE, C, E, A, CLS , AMG 4 and now this !
That’s shocking.I would still take every Benz rear light cluster over the the Lexus'ish rearlights on the new X4 and pretty much every new Bimmer. But each to his own.
Probably aiming for the Uber type of market, I seriously doubt the typical A class driver can afford a chauffeur, also I never thought I will see a Long wheelbase version of the A class.....Is the A-class seriously used as a chauffeurs car in china?
I want to know, at what point will people think, perhaps getting a pre-owned C class is a better choice than a new A class sedan Long wheel base?
Chinese always want a big car with more rear legroom, cos most families can only afford one.The fundamentals seem good, but this LWB s**t doesn’t help on such a small car, I mean who and why would someone buy a long A class??, I'll reserve judgement for the SWB..
when you attend one of their events held in China, enjoying the tasty atmospere and stuff made by a huge amount of money, then you know why.Why isn't MB showing us the SWB??
