Cup 2 R were usedI wouldn't be surprised if they did use them... during all their other "lap records". Which have always seemed suspiciously fast to me when compared to the NB lap - and have become even more so after I learned that the car comes with a slick option also. We still have no videos of those laps - and no info on what tires were used either.
"headsets? what do I need headsets for?"
For Rosberg, it wouldn't make sense as the star livery came after his F1 stint. While I can appreciate the craftsmanship, I'm also not a huge fan of that livery. Especially when, according to a One customer, ~200/275 have ordered it.BTW, I like how both F1 drivers / AMG One owners (that I know of) went for solid paint instead of the dorky F1 themed hand painted livery.
Those 75 cars just became much more desirable and collectable.~200/275 have ordered it.
So much for decarbonization, lmao.So cars are shipped from England to Germany to receive their star livery, then shipped back to England for final assembly, then shipped to Germany again for customer delivery at AMG in Affalterbach.
Undisputed Hypercar King. Currently for laptimes. The ones that count most say anyway.
Do you have some comparatives to share?
The One is heavily disparaged here, but having watched a presentation about the engineering behind this car, it really is thoroughly impressive if only for that aspect.
Wasn't it supposed to run at Bahrain? Or did it get scared of Valkyrie?Undisputed Hypercar King. Currently for laptimes. The ones that count most say anyway.

Look past the F1 connection and this is such a weird match of car and driver. Rosberg doesn't strike me as the technical type or a settings tinkerer, while the car is as complex as it gets.
Wow he was absolutely nailing it around the Mercedes track, The noise is mental inside the car, I can understand why they give headphones as it must be eardrum deafening.
Insane.

Wow the acceleration of this car is insane to 350km/h. I think Mercedes performance claims are very conservative. I think it will be like 2.5sec to 100 and close to 6sec to 200km/h. He thinks it will do 7sec to 200km/h in bad weather conditions!!
