AMG ONE [Official] Mercedes-AMG Project ONE

The Mercedes-AMG One (R50, previously known as Project One) is a limited-production plug-in dual hybrid sports car manufactured by Mercedes-AMG, featuring Formula One-derived technology. Production: August 2022 – 2025 (275 units planned).
When is the Valkyrie due to start deliveries?

The first customer car was supposed to be delivered by the very end of this year. Might be early 2021 now, after the internal sh*tshow and Coronavirus.

Aston is way ahead of AMG though, since they are doing final road-testing with proper cars and not the camo prototypes since March.

To be honest I feel a tinge of major disappointment with this car, its taken Mercedes ages to decide when to launch it and we still got no confirmed final engine specs. Plus its been sounding like a sewing machine in some of the N-Ring videos. Lets wait and see if it will come out in 2020

"Another week, another #TeamTuesday. Sensual Purity – our unique design philosophy is interpreted and developed accordingly for each model, ensuring that each model series acquires its own distinct character while nevertheless always remaining recognisably Mercedes-Benz," writes Gorden Wagener.

Mercedes-AMG One Spied From Afar, Still In Development

Building an F1-powered hypercar for the road isn't easy.

Yes folks, the ambitious Mercedes-AMG One is still alive. These new spy images catch a camouflaged development car – albeit some distance away – exercising in Germany. But didn’t Mercedes already reveal its F1-powered hypercar some time ago?

It’s indeed been years since the AMG Concept One first dropped our collective jaws in 2017, but that was the concept. Since then, Mercedes has encountered some trouble getting a high-revving, high-strung Formula 1 engine in a form that can meet emission regulations. Not that any of the 275 production versions slated for production will ever see anything remotely resembling a daily-driver routine.

Since it’s been a while, here’s a refresher on the insane stats of this incredible machine. Utilizing a legit F1-spec 1.6-liter V6 engine in conjunction with four electric motors, the AMG One will deliver over 1,000 horsepower (746 kilowatts) and a soundtrack befitting of a pole position start at Monaco. The gasoline engine will spin to 11,000 RPM, but the literal price for such performance is a rebuild every 31,000 miles. Then again, the 275 buyers who’ve already committed to spending millions of dollars for the One probably aren’t concerned with such things.

coronavirus put another monkey wrench into the mix. These new spy shots also suggest that some aero development could still be ongoing. The big air scoop on the roof seems a bit larger compared to the concept car, and the vents in the front fascia might be larger, too. The taillights seen here are also different, but they could be placeholders used for testing purposes.

When will the AMG One finally be ready? The latest intel says deliveries should finally start in 2021, barring additional emissions issues or global pandemics.

Not sure how old is this video, however its interesting and...
With the black rims it looks cool, I think the car will be nice in the right spec, it was just presented in the F1 design which sucks for this car, also the aero rims make the wheels look small. With these black rims and a one color paint I think the car will be gorgeous.

this is a great video, thanks for posting. Very informative and also it is nice to see and hear the car performing on the track. From initial observations, the car certainly sounds alot better now than it did in some of those N-Ring videos, the engine and exhaust have a high rev wail, a muted F1 sound and the cars speed is blistering in and out of corners. The handling and road holding also look incredibly good, the car seems to corner flat and very neutral with race car levels of grip and speed through corners. I think this car will be epic when its launched in 1st quarter of 2021. Cant wait to see the final specs.

A CEO and a passionate motorsport engineer at his core, Moers is an example of how a sports car brand CEO should be. He is going to transform Aston Martin!

I think Mercedes will deliver the car by the end of Q1 2021. But I'm not so sure about Valkyrie coming out in Q2 2021.

Here's the video that was taken down from Youtube. It's...
It certainly sounds alot better in this video, the engine note is high pitched and quick responding like an F1 engine. It certainly corners at high speed with zero drama and massive grip. Its going to be mega this car.

I can't wait to see the One and the Valkyrie on the track. But all the financial troubles Aston's having worries me. :(

No such problems at Mercedes though.
