The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a series of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque's line-up until the W168 A-Class arrived in 1997.

Merc fans - please tell us what the story is with the C63 AMG? Lots of pics of the cars but no reviews, no sneak previews, no track exclusives? What's going on with the official release to the press?

Yea @martinbo I am wondering the same as you about this car when we will see the first reviews. It probably is one of the most eagerly waited reviews as many people wondering how it will compare to the BMW M3/M4.

Mr. @Wolfgang do you perhaps have some news to surprise us when the international launch for the press is to do first track driving and road driving of this mega car?

It sounds pretty good in that video exhaust note is nice and throaty, burbly. So far sounds better than the disappointing sound of the M3/M4 exhausts.

Sounds like a Volvo truck. While its loud its not an unique sound. And I'm not saying M3 sounds better so don't get upset ;)

I don't think the current crop of Mercedes aim to be teutonic. They are drawing inspiration from the prettier and more elaborate designs that preceded the teutonic movement at the company.

^It can aim to be martian for all I care. When I fell in love with German cars, they looked a certain way. They don't any more.

ps. I loved C43, it felt so right sitting inside one with the two tone interior - I still remember sitting inside one at SF car show in 98 or 99 for a good half hour. It didn't drive too good though, so I went with M3.
