The McLaren GT is a two seat grand tourer designed and manufactured by the British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive. It is the company's first dedicated grand tourer and is based on the same platform underpinning the 720S with the addition of a carbon fiber rear deck topped by a glazed tailgate creating significantly greater storage capacity.

I don't love the this but respect its unique selling point which is a usable boot. There's no other car that:
-Has a mid engine wedge shape.
-Has lambo doors
-Has a practical enough boot for the car to be used for shopping, recreation or a weekend away.
It's not a car for everyone but solves a problem for a few who prefer to just into a car and drive rather than ponder whether or not they should fetch the keys for their more conventionally practical 2nd car.

McLaren's most practical V8 supercar has been given an update with a mild power bump, tweaked looks and new options.
The 2024 McLaren GTS has been unveiled – with non-hybrid, twin-turbo V8 power – ahead of showroom arrivals next year.
The GTS is the successor to the GT, the mid-engined V8 McLaren designed to be a more practical alternative to the company's regular supercar range – and a rival to front-engined luxury sports coupes from Bentley and Aston Martin.
It is underpinned by the same architecture as the GT – and shares most of its bodywork – but adds subtly-updated styling, new interior trim, more power from the twin-turbo V8, and a handful of changes under the skin.
Australian deliveries are expected to follow its European launch sometime next year.
Compared to the GT, the GTS gains a revised front bumper and new air scoops on the rear wheel arches to improve engine cooling – but is otherwise effectively unchanged.
The exterior trim is black as standard, but can be optioned in carbon-fibre. A sports exhaust system is optional.
Powering the GTS is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 467kW and 630Nm – up from 456kW – sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with Comfort, Sport and Track shifting modes.
McLaren claims a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.2 seconds, 0-200km/h in 8.9 seconds, and a top speed of 326km/h – 0.1sec quicker than the GT from 0-200km/h, but unchanged in all other metrics despite the power bump.
Performance features under the skin include adaptive suspension, plus 390mm six-piston front and 380mm four-piston rear carbon-ceramic brakes – capable of a 100km/h to zero stop in 32 metres.
All of these features appear to be carried over from the GT – and among the only changes listed in McLaren's 3000-word press release for the new model is a nose-lift system which can raise or lower the front of the car in four seconds, more than twice as fast as before.
The electro-hydraulic steering has been retuned for the GTS, according to the supercar manufacturer.
McLaren quotes 420 litres of boot space under the glass tailgate, with a further 150 litres in the front of the car – and it claims the GTS is "the most practical new supercar on sale today."
The new car is 10kg lighter than its predecessor.
Inside, changes include new interior upholstery combinations, with aniline leather and Alcantara power-adjustable heated 'comfort' seats in Performance specification, or aniline leather with double piping on the seats in TechLux models.
There are no changes to the interior technology, retaining a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen. A 12-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system is optional.
Standard fitment is a carbon-fibre composite roof in gloss black, which can be swapped for a panoramic glass roof with electrochromatic glazing at an extra cost.
New exterior colours include Lava Grey, Mantis Green, Tanzanite Blue and Ice White, while there are two new 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloy wheel designs now available with lighter titanium locking wheel bolts.
The 2024 McLaren GTS is due to go on sale in Europe next year. Australian arrival timing is yet to be announced."
