GT [Official] McLaren Grand Tourer


The McLaren GT is a two seat grand tourer designed and manufactured by the British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive. It is the company's first dedicated grand tourer and is based on the same platform underpinning the 720S with the addition of a carbon fiber rear deck topped by a glazed tailgate creating significantly greater storage capacity.

Just received the invitation for the SA launch on the 8th of February at Daytona in Johannesburg. May go and check it out.

Took one for a spin about a week ago. Really top notch on the inside. Wish I would've taken more video footage.

The power delivery , even though very linear, belies just how fast this car is. Damping was also excellent. Overall I was very impressed.

I have seen two Mclaren GT on the road and one in the showroom. I have to say it looks much better in real life than in photos, very low and sleek. Maybe only the front could be better. But I was surprised that it looks so much better in person.

That's also what a French magazine I read recently said - this car seems difficult to be properly pictured.
