765LT [Official] Mclaren 765LT

Unveiled on 3 March 2020, the 765LT is a limited (765 units worldwide) version of the 720S and the successor to the 675LT as a Super Series Longtail car, focused on track performance. The M840T engine is now rated at 765 PS (563 kW; 755 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 590 lb⋅ft (800 N⋅m) of torque at 5,500 rpm achieved with a higher-capacity fuel pump, forged aluminium pistons and a three-layer head gasket from the Senna.
Some of the specs that people on doing on the 765LT Spyder are wild and I love it. Might as well be Pagani with some of this detail. Reference Mclarenlife to see what I'm talking about.

Off the top of my head, I think that the base 488 has a more angular look, so when go-fast parts added to the form the Pista, those bits enhance its brutality. The 720s, which has a more fluid, curvy surface treatment looks comparatively more daft and Mansory-like when go-fast parts are added. I remember biomimicry was was a theme when designing the 720S, so it like any added appendage to a cheetah would look odd.
That's it. I love the curvy lines and contours on the 720S. It's especially stunning in orange.

As you pointed out, I feel like the added aero bits on the 765LT jarr against the design of the base car. The dracula buttresses are a step too far.

However, this is a form over function car and the aero are worth while the performance gains.

Yea, I am a big fan of the 720S' design. The headlights, I dare say, are iconic. The way they've incorporated the side intakes while minimizing the visual fuss is brilliant. Also, I like how the overall side profile alludes to the original F1. The design team really did a bang-up job on the 720S.

But, as you said, those who want that added performance are likely more than willing to have those bits and bobs.

I knew this was coming. Looks like a scalpel. At Ferrari will there be a 296 open top model??

I saw one on driving opposite side of the motorway when going on vacation, papaya orange I think... stunning. And I do agree that I miss the clean design of the 720S when I look at the LT.

The more I look at the 765LT spider, the more I think that it suits perfectly the LT shapes, better than the coupé... which is the opposite of my fillings on the 720S. Trying to formulate with more details : the 720S as "round shapes" and some of the spider features break the hamorny, whereas the LT has more edges which go along better in spider's form. Am I the only one to have such an impression ?

Aesthetics are personal. There’s no wrong opinion. I think the coupe looks more cohesive but I like them both. This car needs to be seen in person to have the details fully appreciated.

As epic as that looked is how it feels to drive. I’ve never driven anything that’s so engaging in my life. However, honestly, if you just go easy on the throttle it’s totally usable and easy to drive.

Curious to hear the full judgment... because he did not like it last year during Speedweek...
Top Gear change their mind like the wind. A month ago they were complaining about loose trim on the RS e-TRON's interior, this month Marques Brownlee described it as 'second to none'.

GT2RS did way better than I expected. I wonder if it’s actually stock.

I don't think it's stock either. Especially after watching this:

765 traps at least 10 mph faster in the 1/4 mile.

My fastest trap in my 765 ever is 149.9. Lots of spin though. My fastest 1/4 on a decent grip run is 9.70 @ 148.7. It’s really not close from the data I’ve seen between the two cars.

Exactly. Something's amiss in that CARWOW vid.
