Funny... I was sitting here at my desk working on an LF A project...
Noticed that Lexus' F Performance page got updated... Then found this thread. HA!
I can't wait to see the car in person. Maybe if I ask really, really nicely I'll get to drive the car (I know, keep dreaming).
You gotta hand it to Toyota when it comes to engines. Both the IS F and now the LF A have exclusives.
The funny part of it is that in a short period of time many important car manufacturers unveiled their new/ first (some even mid-engined) supercars trying to get a piece of the cake. I'm talking about the Audi R8 V8/V10, Nissan GT-R, MB SLS and now Lexus with the LF-A.
The specs are impressive enough but as we all know, they don't tell one third of the story. This car has enough emotional and visual drama to appeal to the performance car enthusiast who's looking for something different.Dunno whats the fuss.
Specs are not as good as those of 458 Italia and MP4-12C and it costs twice as much. Thumbs down.
It would be a great car for 150K euros. 375K euro price is just silly for this though.

The engine spins so quickly that Lexus says it had to use a digital tach because an analog version couldn’t keep up.

^ Not disputing your point ACE.
Japanese engineers are usually quite forthright and honest about their engineering - I would expect them to be matter-of-fact about such things.
How does the price of this compared to the Skyline GTR? should be similar?
GT-R is about $75k
LF-A is $375k
OK thanks... i don't see the point of this then.
