488 [2015-2019] [Official] Ferrari 488 Pista

The Ferrari 488 (Type F142M) is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. The car replaced the 458, being the first mid-engine Ferrari to use a turbocharged V8 since the F40. It was succeeded by the Ferrari F8.

Wow 7min dead is very quick, the car certainly has the speed on the straights hitting an awesome 322kmh on the Dottinger Hohe. It did seem edgy in some corners with the driver using alot of steering movements and I am saddened by the really anemic sound of its engine, which lacks the high end bark and Yelp of the previous NA Ferrari engines. Fabulous car, really impressed.

This is - to a large degree - C. Gebhardts driving style. It is a bit edgy. There are drivers, where it looks less edgy/more softer/fluent. But Gebhardt is very very skilled and quick. So no offense, that he has a rough style!
Interessting: the lap has been done 5 months ago, but sport auto was able to keep laptime a secret.
No leakage - opposed to some OEMs :p
I guess Michelin PSC2 R tires were used?

I'm really looking forward to the dyno-test...
On the Döttinger Höhe the Pista filled the 200-300 km/h gap in 12,9 seconds, while the 748-hp-McLaren 720S (measured) needed 14 seconds for the same. Interesting.

7:08 probably on normal Cup 2 tires since it looks like they used Cup 2 Rs for this run. Still mighty impressive though. For me this is probably the most desirable Ferrari at the moment. 322 km/h on the straight is almost as fast as that SV from 2015, which is mighty impressive with "30 hp" less.

EDIT:
On the 812SF video Sport Auto commented that factory lap time was 7:24 on the Ring. (that's new?) Sport Auto did 7:27.

Considering the small amount of time Ferrari is testing their cars on Nurburgring compared to Porsche, this laptime is very impressive.

Lamborghini speed was on the speedometer. So in fact it was less.

Usually they do not write 300. And not the same data in AMS? There are 13,9 200-300.

Wind speed/direction?

I'm really looking forward to the dyno-test...

No Power was measured (well, only up to 6400 /min, until which it matched Ferraris claim)
Max Torque was around 760, so a bit lower than claimed (770).
Reason was that in the first 6 gears, it would always slip. Only in 7th gear, it had enough traction for a measurement, but the dyno on which they measured it, only goes up to 300 kph, so max revs was only 6400/min.

Other Supertest-Results:
HHR GP: 1:45,9 min
36m-Slalom
: 146 kph (GT2: 151, Performante: 148, 720S: 143)
Lateral G: 1,60 g (GT2: 1.80, Performante: 1.55, 720S: 1.50)
Evasive Test: 163 kph (GT2: 166, Performante: 164, 720: 162)
0-200-0: 12,2 s (GT2: 12.8, Performante: 13.6, 720S: 11.7)

Final Verdict: 100/100 points (GT2: 100, Perf.: 100, 720S: 99)
"After the Nordschleife-Test, for me it's clear: If I had to choose a sportscar right now, it would be the Pista" (Gebhardt final verdict)

i would be carefull with this kind of interpretation.
On the apex of the last turn befor Döttingerhöhe the 720s was messured with 158 kmh while the pista on his Cup 2 R was messured with 167kmh at the very same place. Those 9kmh difference shrink to 4kmh on the top speed messurement 318kmh vs 322kmh.
